Some people say surrogacy is wrongāŒ.
They say a woman should not carry a baby for another woman.

But let me ask you something honestlyā€¦
If a woman has spent 10 years crying for a child,
spent her savings on hospitals,
prayed until her voice became tired and another woman is willing to help carry that baby for herā€¦

Is that wrong?
People will judge surrogacy from the outside.

But they are not the ones sitting in a quiet house every night,
listening to the silence where a childā€™s laughter should be.
They are not the ones avoiding family gatherings
because someone will ask the painful question againā€¦

Itā€™s the silence.

The silence of a woman staring at an empty room that was meant to be a nursery.
The silence of a couple lying awake at night wondering if they will ever hear a baby cry in their home.

This week we spoke with women who have cried for yearsā€¦
Women who have lost pregnanciesā€¦
Families who have spent everything they had just for one chance to become parents.

And tonight, as the week comes to an end, I keep thinking about something one woman told meā€¦

Flowers.
Phone calls.
Pictures with smiling babies.

But somewhere right nowā€¦a woman quietly locked her phone,Not because she hates the celebrationā€¦but because it hurts too much to watch.

She has bought baby clothes beforeā€¦
then hid them again.

She has walked past the childrenā€™s section in stores
and pretended it didnā€™t break her heart.

She has smiled when people asked,
ā€œDonā€™t you like children?ā€

They donā€™t knowā€¦
she has spent days and night's crying to God
for just one.

Just one little heartbeat.
One little hand to hold. Today, while the world celebrates mothersā€¦her pillow knows the truth of her tears.

But sometimesā€¦miracles come in unexpected ways. Sometimes another woman
with a compassionate heart
helps carry that dream.

That is the quiet beauty of surrogacy,hope being carried until it reaches the arms that prayed for it.
