This is the power and right of a shareholder!!!

When you invest in stocks of companies, there are monetary benefits earned in form of dividends (half yearly & yearly) and capital appreciation (increase in stock prices).

Damilola Ogundimu is a First class graduate of Accounting from Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. She is also a scholar of two prestigious institutions in Nigeria - MTN Nigeria and Shell Petroleum Nigeria. Currently on the journey of completing her professional examination to becoming a chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountant Nigeria (ICAN).

* Damilola is currently a financial consultant in the Strategy and Transactions Unit with one of the Big Four professional service firm , where she and other team are responsible for carrying out due diligence, valuations, business plan and lead advisory for clients.

In starting out business, succeeding requires possessing some essential qualities. These qualities are not only known to drive business forward but also to keep the entrepreneur moving in time of challenges.

Some of these qualities are:

👁‍🗨 Vision : Successful entrepreneurs have unusual vision, they see what others are not seeing “ the future “

👁‍🗨Creativity: they think outside the box and they create new things

👁‍🗨Patience: successful entrepreneurs have the patience in seeing their idea come to light

👁‍🗨Passion for the idea: successful entrepreneurs develop a very strong passion for the idea, they are passionate, and they give their all to make them come true.

👁‍🗨Risk taking: Successful entrepreneurs are very comfortable at taking risks. They override their fears and take risk.

WHO MOVED MY CHEESE?

Looking at what is going on in the world today I think we all need to go read this book.

In business just as in life, few things stay the same. So, businesses must be willing to move with the times and adjust their operations in response to various factors and other pressures such as this global pandemic.

The business world as life itself is going through a major change now and I believe it is still for the better and would help us grow as people in the future.

So as individuals, entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs, we need to have a CHANGE MINDSET.

“CHANGE IS CONSTANT” they say and now always remember “THE HANDWRITING ON THE WALL”.

Change happens, even when you don’t anticipate the change and it happened, still adapt to the change quickly. CHANGE!!! and enjoy the process.

The most important thing is “Be ready to quickly CHANGE and ENJOY it again”, you know why, cause they “Keep moving the Cheese”.
