🚨 Security Update:
Proton advocates for armed private guards as Police withdraw from VIP duties.
As the Nigeria Police Force withdraws officers from VIP protection, the debate on who fills the gap is heating up.
Proton Security Services Limited is urging the Federal Government to officially empower private security firms to take over these responsibilities.

The MD of Proton, Adekunmi Odebunmi, suggests that with strict regulation and training, private operatives should be allowed to bear arms for defensive purposes to protect lives and property effectively.
Is Nigeria ready for armed private security guards?

In Nigeria, anyone can print business cards—few can prove legitimacy.

At Proton Security, we’re fully licensed and certified by:

✅ Police Permit (Nigeria Police Force)
✅ CAC, NSCDC, Ministry of Labour
✅ NSITF, PENCOM, ITF, NUPRC
✅ ISO 9001:2015, NIMASA, Fire Safety, and more.

This means:
✔ Guards are insured and pension-enrolled
✔ Operations meet training and compliance standards
✔ Full accountability under Nigerian law

Illegal operators cut prices because they skip compliance—and disappear when trouble comes.

Before you sign that contract, ask:
“Show me your NSCDC license.”
“Show me your guards’ pension.”
“Show me your insurance.”

If they can’t, they’re illegal—and you’re exposed.

We spend ₦12M+ yearly to stay compliant. Because real security is built on proof, not promises.

DM ‘CERTIFIED’ to see our licenses.

Stop advertising your security on social.
You’re handing criminals a blueprint.
The common mistake:
“New cameras!”
“Upgraded security!”
Photos show blind spots, booth location, access points, and even what you’re protecting.

Real case, Lagos, 2024:
Tech firm posted security upgrades.
Pics revealed blind spots, entry route, and staffing patterns. Three weeks later, ₦47M was stolen.

Police: “They planned from your posts.”
Criminals analyze:
Camera angles. Guard routines. Timestamps. What’s valuable, and when.
Every post = target intelligence.
Every caption = vulnerability.
Proton clients NEVER post security details.
They post: “We work with Proton.” That’s it.
Our reputation does the job.
Armed response, 4-minute arrival, zero tolerance.

Deterrence paradox:
Show security and you get studied. Hide it and you get skipped.

Security Rule #1:
The best protection keeps criminals guessing.

Want security that speaks through reputation? DM ‘DISCRETE’.

June 2019, late night call from Lagos police:
three robbers caught with insider info at our warehouse in Surulere.
One guard had slipped through a rushed background check.
That near-miss changed everything.
We overhauled our vetting process immediately: physical address checks, multiple references, polygraphs for high-risk roles, and regular re-vetting.
5 years later:
• 12,000+ guards vetted
• 847 applicants rejected
• Zero insider-assisted thefts at Proton-protected sites

That one failure made us better.
Your facility deserves nothing less than our post-2019 vetting protocol.
