It is rare to see a man come out in public and cry this deeply
According to this man, he has been in Lagos for about 1O years now. He said he came to Lagos with one major intention, to hustle, succeed and make his family proud
But according to him, things have not gone the way he planned
He said he is one of eight children in his family but sadly, all his siblings have passed away, leaving him as the only surviving child
His father is also late, while his mother is still in the village, hoping and praying that her only surviving child will eventually make it
And according to him, he has really tried
He said there is hardly any type of work he has not done in Lagos. From working as a conductor to trying his hands at content creation, he said he has done everything possible to survive and succeed
He even spoke proudly about his content, saying that whenever he makes his own videos, he puts everything into them and believes they are always extraordinary
But somehow, according to him, none of these things has brought the breakthrough he has been hoping for.
Then another part of his story came in. He said the woman he eventually got pregnant was working in a sh0p where she so|d Indomie. Sometimes, he would go there, she would prepare Indomie for him and he would eat
According to him, that was how their friendship gradually became a relationship. They fell in love and eventually, she became pregnant
And this is where he said life gave him something he never expected. He explained that he had been praying to God for things like a car, a house, a better life and the opportunity to make his mother proud
But instead of those material things, he said God gave him a child. And despite how unprepared he felt, he said he made up his mind that he would not abort the child. He said the child was a gift from God and that he would take responsibility and take care of him
He eventually told his mother about the pregnancy and surprisingly, he said his mother was very happy when she heard the news
But he was not happy. Not because he did not love the child, but because he felt he had failed to become the man he wanted to be before bringing a child into the world
Now his mother is asking him to bring the child home so she can see her grandchild. And this is where the man's tears became even more emotional
He said he feels ashamed to appear before his mother. He came to Lagos hoping that one day he would return home with something to show for his years of struggle
Something that would make his mother look at him and say, “My son has made it”
But according to him, after 1O years in Lagos, he still does not have those things. He is now wondering how he will stand before his aged mother and explain that despite everything he has tried, life has not gone according to plan.
He even appealed to people watching the video that if anyone had clothes they could give him, he would appreciate them. He said his mother is already very old and he simply wants to find a way to face her
Along the way of making things work, life happened.
He became a father before he felt ready and now he is trying to figure out how to put his life together while taking responsibility for his child
