THE CORDS OF ORIGIN COLLECTION: represents the first thread from which identity, heritage and legacy are woven. The long cords become a visual metaphor for ancestral lines, while the structured shoulders represent strength and authority. The cascading strands represent generations flowing from the past into the future.

One cord becomes a braid.
A braid becomes a structure.
A structure becomes a garment.
A garment becomes identity.
And identity carries a story from one generation to another.

A single cord carries no kingdom. But when countless strands are brought together, they become something stronger than themselves.

Design Details: Contemporary African Couture × Yoruba Adire × Royal Architecture

🌹History behind “ ADIRE “ Collection
ADIRE INFINITY was conceived as a visual journey through heritage, identity and continuity.
Adire is a Yoruba resist-dyed textile tradition strongly associated with southwestern Nigerian cities including Abeokuta, Ibadan and Oshogbo. Traditional techniques include applying resist materials or patterns before indigo dyeing, creating the characteristic contrast between deep blue grounds and undyed motifs. Historical Adire designs also contain geometric and symbolic vocabularies passed through generations. For Nihinlewawa Empire, that heritage becomes the foundation rather than the limitation.
The collection imagines a future in which the visual language of Adire enters the world of international Haute Couture. Traditional pattern vocabulary is enlarged, repeated, engineered and placed onto sculptural silhouettes, long ceremonial coats, architectural shoulders, dramatic trains and tailored couture forms.
