RIGHTEOUSNESS VERSUS RESOURCES: A CASE OF CRUDE OIL

Righteousness is what exalts a nation and not the price of crude oil.

It's a culture of doing what is right that lifts a people.

Nations that do what is right do well.

A nation that does not embrace righteousness in it's daily affairs (the act of doing what is right) is going nowhere but south.

God said it is so, and history has testified it is so.

That nation will not rise, no matter how much it earns.

Oil may rise to $1000 per barrel, but the nation will not rise with it.

It will make no difference.

The more these people earn as a nation, the more unrighteous will be their way of managing it, thereby amounting to nothing.

This is why certain nations can go through seasons of high oil prices and boom, yet their living conditions remain largely the same.

They will lack good roads, hospitals, schools, etc.

Billions of dollars will pass through their national coffers but end up in private pockets instead better public life.

This is why nations with fewer resources but righteous in their ways are better off than nations that have more resources but generally unrighteous in their daily practice.

A nation can be non-religious but yet be righteous in its daily national life (ie - take to the righteous tenents of God like justice, rule of law, shun corruption, serve your people and the poor instead of serving yourself, etc)

Nations as these have been proven to do well...

TIPS FOR PROGRESS AT WORK AND IN LIFE
Be it at the workplace, in your career, in business, at school etc., take special note of certain relationships around you. They are there to serve an important role in your progress and development.

Early mentorship of Solomon at the feet of his father King David influenced his choice of wisdom over wealth, riches, honour, long life and even the life of his enemies when God asked him to make a request.

***********************************************************************

Every average young man would have asked for one or all of these things, but Solomon's thinking had been shaped early through informal but constant learning and mentorship at the feet of King David his father.
It was this mentorship and learning process that made the difference between Solomon and his brother Absalom, who rather gunned for power, position and everything Solomon didn't ask for.

We then see Solomon gain everything and Absalom lose everything. A key lesson to learn here is that while Abasalom might still not have ended up as King, he would have ended up in a much better place in life if only he had shown interest and sought after the wisdom of his father, because this wisdom was equally available for him too. In like manner, we will all end up beautiful in life if only we would go about life rightly.

The wisdom that has made others succeed is available for us too. We only have to seek it to find it. Like Solomon, watch out for those relationships around you that can enrich you and help guide you in the right choices in life. Be willing to learn, have a teachable attitude and do not be in a hurry. Look out for those relationships and value them.

The problem is that like Absalom, many don't use them. Let's learn to recognize these relationships, value them and nuture them. I pray that God would today, make you like Solomon see the relationships that would help take you to your next level. Have a great career ahead.

It's because that thing you are believing God for has already been given, it's yours already in Christ Jesus and it's going to turn your life around, fill you with laughter and make you shout for joy ! Hence the fight , hence the opposition. The enemy will try a last attempt to make you give up on God and His promise to you. Don't give up co's the victory is yours. TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL 2017. Hab 2:2 " Write the vision. .." A good sign that you really have a vision and are heading somewhere in 2017 and not just floating into another year wishing for the best is that you have something written somewhere. A person who hasn't written anything probably has a wish thinking it's a vision. Because it was a vision, God told Habakuk to write. For 2017, what do you have ? Is it a vision or a wish ? LIFE AFTER THE RECESSION-DON'T TAKE A RIDE !
After church today, this conversation took place between two friends
Friend 1: Guy, now I know this recession is very deep.
Friend 2: Why did you say that?
Friend 1: I have not seen any Christmas tree and its Dec. 4.
Friend 2: Hmmm, you are right o, even that bank on the Island have not put up any Christmas tree as usual.
Now read this if you do not want the recession to eat you deep.............

Opportunities are surrounded by challenges. Not everyone will pick up these opportunities because of the challenges that surround them. These challenges can only be surmounted by an interplay of resources, partnerships, funding fresh insights, ideas e.t.c.

The season of recession will pass, but you won"t, you will still be here. The question is- how will your life be after the recession? The recession is one thing, your life is another. The recession in a way is running it's course(as managed by CBN and other regulatory bodies) independent of your personal decisions or in decisions.

What this means is that how well things will turn out for you at the end of the day will not be based on the recession being over but rather on the steps you took during the recession itself. The end of a recession does not produce automatic prosperity for all of humankind.

Many are going around sayingthis season will pass and that hard times don't last forever.These comforting word's are making some people to relax and chill out, employing no serious strategy nor personal effort on their part, calculating that all they need to do is RIDE-OUT this period and when it's over everything will be alright. We must understand that, it is what is DONE in the current season that determines what happens in the coming season. The current was determined by the preceding.

Therefore,this is the time for us to undertake definite strategic steps i.e new thinking, new partnerships, new business and life models,new products, new markets e.t.c. so as to ensure we come out on the other side of the recession better than when we went into it.

So you need to start thinking and asking yourself certain questions- what do I need to do differently?, what do I need to change or even avoid all together ?, what do I need to engage in?
Merely riding it out doing nothing will not guarantee any success.
The farmer understands that the planting season with all it's inconvenience of cold and rain is running independent of himself.

The season runs whether he sows or not. The farmer understands clearly that the end of the planting season does automatically mean he will have a harvest. His harvest will be determined by what he did during the planting season, whether he braved the cold and rain to get out there and sow. His harvest is determined by whether he engaged the season or not.

The farmer does not ride out the planting season doing nothing. Though the weather is harsh, cold and unfavourable, the farmer engages the season with profitable steps and actions to ensure a better future after the season is past. This how you must engage this season. This must be your approach. Engage the season. Don't take a ride!

This is the season of rubbing of minds, breeding ideas, concepts and taking definite calculated steps that
will be productive when the season is past.
