Waste management is more than collecting materials. It is about building systems that protect the environment, support livelihoods, and create long-term value.

Every day, waste collectors play a vital role in keeping recyclable materials within the value chain. When waste is properly collected and recycled, communities benefit through cleaner surroundings and reduced environmental risks.

Through BKU Waste Recycling,♻️ we focus on strengthening this process supporting responsible waste handling, promoting recycling awareness, and encouraging youth participation in the sector.

As we continue to grow, our commitment remains clear: to contribute to sustainable waste management practices that create positive impact for communities and future generations.

As we step into 2026, we want to take a moment to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

A new year is a reminder that every small action matters. How we treat our environment today affects our health, our communities, and future opportunities, especially for young people.

At BKU Waste Recycling, we believe waste is not just a problem but a responsibility and an opportunity. Through proper waste management and recycling, we can protect our environment while creating space for youth involvement, skills, and sustainable livelihoods.

This year, let us all be more mindful of how we handle waste, support positive change, and contribute to a cleaner and safer environment for our communities.

Happy New Year 2026.
Together, we can do better.

🌟 1 Year of BKU Waste Recycling in Borno

Today, we celebrate one year of BKU Waste Recycling in Borno State, and what a journey it has been!

Over the past 12 months, we’ve grown from a small operation into a larger, thriving company, creating value from what others see as waste. In this first year alone, we have processed approximately:
• 144 tons of PET
• 180 tons of cartons
• 120 tons of rubber

That’s over 440 tons of materials transformed into opportunities, jobs, and sustainable impact.

Every bale we collect represents hours of hard work and the transformation of waste into value. From PET bales to cartons and rubber, each piece shows our commitment to turning challenges into opportunities.

We are proud to have partnered with Tatabe Global Resources Company Ltd, who help us process the rubber, and to see the positive impact on our team, the community, and the youth.

Through our work, we have created jobs, trained young people, and inspired others to see the potential in what others discard. These opportunities are the true reward of our journey turning waste into wealth, and dreams into reality.

This year has taught us that growth isn’t easy it takes courage, persistence, and a strong vision. It’s been a year of learning, expanding, and building relationships that matter. Most importantly, it has shown us that sustainable practices can empower youth, create jobs, and inspire community change.

♻️ Here’s to the next chapter more impact, more opportunities, and a cleaner, stronger future.

Inspiring Visit to BKU Waste Recycling ♻️

At BKU Waste Recycling, we always welcome opportunities to connect, share ideas, and inspire change.

Recently, our Founder & CEO, Bakir Ahmad, received a visit from Umar Muhammad, a Computer Science student from Azare, who came all the way to see how BKU is driving innovation through waste recycling in Borno State.

Their conversation covered meaningful topics around youth development, entrepreneurship, and the future of the recycling market — reminding us that passion for sustainability can come from every field of study.

We’re proud to see more young Nigerians showing interest in creating solutions for a cleaner and better environment. Together, we can turn waste into opportunity. 🌱

🚛 24 Tons of Impact — BKU Keeps Moving Forward!

On October 24/2025, here in Borno State, Nigeria, the BKU Waste Recycling successfully loaded one full truck carrying 24 tons of baled cartons ♻️.

This milestone represents more than hard work — it’s a step toward building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Nigeria 🇳🇬.

At BKU, we believe every ton of waste recycled is a contribution to our country’s growth and environmental progress. 🌍

💪 Big appreciation to our hardworking team for their commitment and effort in making this possible!

At BKU Waste Recycling, we believe that every material has value — even what others call waste.

One of the materials that continues to create both environmental and economic impact in our communities is cartons. These simple paper boxes have become a real source of income for many individuals while helping to reduce waste in our environment.

Through our recycling activities, cartons that would have ended up as litter are now being collected, sorted, and processed into new materials. This not only keeps our streets clean but also supports many people who depend on recycling as a source of livelihood.

By turning waste into opportunity, we are creating a cleaner and more sustainable future for everyone.
Together, we can continue to make a difference — one carton at a time. ♻️🌿
