THE POWER OF A WILLING MIND - James Abiona.

One person that is willing in the midst of 1000 unwilling minds can pay salaries to the rest 999. David said "oh Lord, my heart is FIXED". A fixed heart brings about a willing mind and a willing mind translates into a meaningful activity.

Intention means nothing but ACTION is everything. Mobility does not necessitate productivity. Activities and effectiveness are not the same. A lot of us are just roaming around because anything you do that does not add up profit in cash or in kind is a labour loss.

David didn't kill Goliath because he was a strong fighter. He killed him by the power of a willing heart. The heart of the matter in that encounter was a matter of the heart. It's called having a FIGHTING SPIRIT. It's not the size of the dog in the fight that counts; it's the size of the fight in the dog that really counts.

The labour of the labourer wearies him because he doesn't know how to go to the city. Then he must return to his village because the city cannot accommodate mediocrity and laziness. A weak heart is worst than a weak hand.

On the path of the journey of life; I-want-to is the starting point while ''I-did" is the completion. Only a willing and obedient person can eat the good things of any given land. Great meetings do not make people, but great actions make people.

You must go all out and do what you want to do. Nobody can do it for you. You must have an indomitable spirit who carries a can-do spirit. You must know good is an enemy of best.

You must set goals and be willing to pay the price for the prize. The ultimate reason for setting challenging goals is to entice yourself to become the person it takes to achieve it. You need to become the person you really wish to meet.

Do you know that it is not a sin to get to a level in your life where the project demands from you what you don't have which only God can provide?

A car ran over the only child of a single mother. She singlehandedly lifted the car to save her son not because she had such energy physically but the situation she was in impelled her to draw strength and save her only child.

THE POWER OF NEGOTIATION - James Abiona.

Negotiation is a dealing between a buyer and a seller. It is the determining power of the comparative cost advantage. Negotiation is the purchasing power of its owner and the determining factor of buying and selling.

At the NEGOTIATION table, the outcome may be win-lose, lose-win, lose-lose or win-win. The finest negotiation is WIN-WIN. Win-win happens when the two parties come to equal compromise. As a Christian in the marketplace, I always aim for win-win. Win-win is what happens when the two parties walk away happy.

Read this short but powerful bible story: "Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.
Then said I, Wisdom [is] better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom [is] despised, and his words are not heard.
The words of wise [men are] heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools."

Can you see how a man can have the solution to his poverty with him and yet remain poor simply because he lacks NEGOTIATION SKILLS? All the poor man needed to have done was to charge the city at their desperate moon one million dollar. And he should have confirmed the alert in his bank account before providing the solution.

But see what happened after delivering the city; HE WAS FORGOTTEN. The proof of knowledge is the outcome it gives you. Knowledge is not power but a potential power. The evidence of knowledge is the wisdom it birthed.

Now compare that story to what this Egyptian slave negotiated with David. David's wives and children plus that of his entire strike force has been carted away and in pursuit of them he was clueless of the destination of the invaders. The slave boy asked David to swear to him that he won't hand him over to his master. The young guy secured his future with David before leading him to where his family were taken to. He does not want to be forgotten like the poor man in Ecclesiastics:9:15.

If you tell us you are knowledgeable, we need to see it in your bank account and appearance. NEGOTIATION is the factor that determines the process of using what you have to get what you need. People are poor and they remain poor not because they don't have what to offer in exchange for what they need, but because they don't know how to go about it.

All men are endowed with an inherent talent. But talents are not enough. You must learn the science and technology of converting your talents to skills and how to place a commercial value on it. And also know where your buyers are. It's called location analysis.

The baby negotiates for breast milk with crying. The wife negotiates for feeding allowance and her personal needs with a good meal, sexy nightgown and humility. You must bring something of comparative value to the table before negotiation can be enacted.

We all negotiate daily consciously or unconsciously. It's a normal way of life where some lose and others win. One of the bottlenecks Donald Trump met on ground when he resumed office as the US president being a negotiations expert are poor negotiations United States had done. The nuclear deal with Iran is one major bad negotiations he is trying to correct.

Don't bleed to death in trying to please an opponent. United States have overstretched herself financially and of course in human capital and material resources while trying to play the role of mother hen in the affairs of the nations of the world.

Unfortunately, this happens at the expense of millions of indigenous Americans. America was busy keeping up with the affairs of many nations but her own vineyard, she neglected. You must learn the art of striking a deal within your family, at your work place as a union and in governance.

Life is a game, never play to lose. Always win but not at the expense of the sweat and blood of others. Just like Donald Trump will say: "Always give your committed staff a share of the pie; especially the ones who worked so hard when you are striking the deal".

The negotiations table is the place where boys are separated from men. I'll be right back.

HOW TO EMPTY AN OCEAN WITH A SPOON- James Abiona.

Yes you heard me. You can scoop an ocean. To be realistic according to Will Smith is to settle for business as usual and mediocre. If I may ask; were you expecting a Facebook in 1990? Did you look forward for an App called Skype, WhatsApp or Google in the 80s?

World changers are way makers, bulldozers and trailblazers who took 100% responsibility. They never wait for the perfect time. They go ahead to change the world regardless of the odds they face.

I have found out that whether for success or for failure; there are more than enough reasons for the two. As for me, I have 100 reasons I must succeed and NO reason to fail. The choice is yours.

These world changers scoop the ocean. They move like an hurricane and change the way we live. The future belong to the individuals ready to create one. The people looking for jobs are the yesterday's people looking for today's job.

Today's job cannot even accommodate today's people anymore. Today's job is laying them off and has started looking for tomorrow's people because the world has changed from information age to digital age.

Why play safe when no one will leave this world alive? Think about that! In that case be ready to die for what you believe in. It is better to be prepared and meet no opportunity than for opportunity to show up and you are not prepared.

NB: Life does not answer to wishes. You cannot wish your way to greatness without your brain sweating in the air condition. Live ready and die empty. One thing I have decided and I live by is to leave this world better than I met it.

I do not want to grow old with a regret I wished I gave life my best shot. God is sovereign and he created all things. But the Goodnews is that he asked you and i to continue from where he stopped.

He planted the palm tree but didn't create palm wine, palm oil, palm kernel oil or local broom. He formed the crude oil and left the formation of petrol, kerosene, diesel and petroleum jelly for me and you.

Did you know all inventions of the world today are all infinitesimal when compared to what is yet to be invented?
