We have recently ventured into pig farming as a business under the name Jessymo Pig Farm. Our decision to enter the pig farming business was driven by the growing demand for pork and the business opportunities available within the livestock sector.
Our aim is to establish a well-managed and profitable pig farm by focusing on proper feeding, good housing, proper hygiene, disease prevention, breeding, and effective record keeping. We also intend to gradually expand the farm as the business grows.
We understand that pig farming requires commitment, adequate capital, proper management, and patience. Therefore, we are committed to learning and applying good farming practices to ensure healthy pigs, sustainable growth, and profitability.
Our long-term goal is to build Jessymo Pig Farm into a reputable and successful livestock business that can contribute to employment, food production, and economic development.

Today, I had the privilege of engaging with students of the Moses orshio Adasu University Makurdi, from Biological Science Department on the scientific and genetic foundations of catfish farming. We explored how proper broodstock selection, strain improvement, and basic genetics can significantly boost growth rate, survival,and overall fish farming.

Sessions like this remind us that aquaculture is not practice it's science, knowledge, and skill. And anyone who is willing to learn can become outstanding in this field.
