: WHAT A CONVERSATION💃
Yesterday, Star Farmers Innovation and Incubation Hub hosted the Agribusiness Webinar : Youth in Agribusiness: Building Profitable, Climate-Resilient Enterprises for the Future.
And it was powerful 💪💪
We brought together young people and agricultural stakeholders from across Africa, with participation recorded from 17 African countries, including Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Kenya, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Chad, Mali, Zambia, Benin, Eswatini, Senegal, Malawi, The Gambia and Niger.
We heard practical experiences and ideas around:
▶️ Building profitable agribusinesses
▶️ Access to finance and investment
▶️ Climate-smart and resilient agriculture
▶️ Technology and digital innovation
▶️ Markets and value chains
▶️ Partnerships and cross-border collaboration
▶️ Creating stronger opportunities for African youth
But beyond the presentations and panel discussion, one bigger idea stood out: Africa needs stronger platforms that connect its agricultural ecosystem.
A platform where young Africans can connect, learn, access opportunities, find markets, build partnerships, access finance and trade across borders.
The challenges facing African agribusiness may differ from country to country, but many of our needs are shared, and technology gives us an opportunity to build bridges across these borders.
The African Youth Agribusiness Webinar was not the end of a programme, it was the beginning of a conversation.
Africa has the people.
Africa has the resources.
Africa has the markets.
Now, we must build the systems that connect them.
