I found out about the barbering contest by on the last dey of entry submission as wasn't very active on Facebook.
I was struggling to work as I was recovering from a fever.
I should have more than enough photos to submit but the exercise came with strict instructions
•A short clip of you doing a fade to confirm authenticity
•Just obviously clear fades
•No line up
•No enhancements.
Hence, this requires that I can do it right make my entry on the next job I got.
At midday, afro pop sensation stopped by for a fade.
(Alas I could create my entry).
So I called Daniel Randy to help me get clips and photos with his phone and then I merged the videos on completion of the haircut.
But I, on the contrary submitted it with a line up (carving as most Nigerians say) and the entry was declined.
While creating, we forgot to take a snapshot without lineups.
I submitted at 4:13PM and at 4:17PM I got notified that the entry cannot qualify.
In my mind, I was going to bow out until Olajuwon stopped by at almost dark and we recreated another taking the instructions very seriously.
However, Olajuwon has a different hair texture (difficult for some barbers to fade).
To be honest, his hair is not the best to enter such contest with but it was what we have so I took it and submitted.
This clip is the entry that was disqualified.
