The Grand M***i of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta, Fadilatush Shaykh Daood Imran Molasan, has stated that Tani Olohun has a case to answer, but said the matter is not being pursued at the moment.

Speaking on the ongoing controversies involving Tani Olohun, Shaykh Daood Imran Molasan said attention is currently focused on the cases Tani Olohun is already facing, adding that he would face the other matter against him when the appropriate time comes.

According to the Grand M***i, Tani Olohun is expected to answer allegations in which he allegedly accused him of 419 and also made allegations against the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba AbdulRasheed Akanbi Telu I.

Shaykh Daood Imran Molasan further stated that preparations concerning the matter are already in place and that the case would be pursued through the appropriate legal process.

He also maintained that the involvement or support of the Iru Ekun Security group would not prevent Tani Olohun from facing the matter when the time comes.

The Grand M***i's comments come amid ongoing legal and public controversies surrounding Tani Olohun and his various disputes.

The Wazeer of Yoruba land Fadilatush Shaykh Yakub Abdulbaqi Mohammed has stated that he would only commend Yoruba activist Sunday Igboho if he returns Tani Olohun to the police station in Ilorin.

The Islamic scholar made the statement during a live lecture on Facebook while reacting to the controversy surrounding the arrest of Tani Olohun and Sunday Igboho’s intervention.

Shaykh Yakub Abdulbaqi Mohammed also clarified that the recent visit of members of Iru Ekun to his office was not connected to the Tani Olohun case.

According to him, the members of Iru Ekun had been seeking an opportunity to meet with him before eventually visiting his office. He explained that their discussion centred on security issues, on which he offered them advice.

The scholar further accused Tani Olohun of repeatedly making abusive and negative statements about prominent Islamic scholars, particularly the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari.

Shaykh Yakub Abdulbaqi Mohammed stated that such comments against the Emir of Ilorin were unacceptable and that he could not forgive or overlook them.

He also criticised Sunday Igboho for allegedly obstructing police officers while they were carrying out their duties to arrest Tani Olohun, despite the existence of a court order.

The scholar maintained that individuals should not interfere with the lawful duties of security agencies and stressed the importance of respecting court orders and the rule of law.

Fadhīlatush Shaykh Munir Adaugba has come out to challenge what he described as the misinterpretation of verses of the Qur’an and Hadith by Malik Musa.

Shaykh Munir Adaugba accused Malik Musa of deliberately withholding or misrepresenting the full context of certain Qur’anic and Hadith passages, alleging that this was being done in pursuit of personal interests.

He further urged Muslims not to follow Malik Musa or continue listening to his teachings, advising them instead to seek Islamic knowledge from qualified scholars and to verify religious claims against authentic Qur’anic and Hadith sources.

The remarks come amid renewed attention surrounding Malik Musa, who recently stated that he converted to traditional religious practice because of his fear of poverty.

The development has generated discussions among members of the Muslim community, particularly concerning the importance of proper interpretation of Islamic texts and the need to approach religious claims with knowledge and evidence.
