Fellow Nigerians,
On this historic day, June 12, I join millions across our great nation in celebrating the spirit and triumph of democracy — a day that reminds us of our collective resilience, unity, and hope for a brighter tomorrow.
June 12 is more than a date — it is a symbol of the enduring struggle for freedom, justice, and the right of every Nigerian to have their voice heard. It honors the legacy of the countless heroes who sacrificed so much to ensure that democracy would not only survive but thrive in our land.
As we reflect on how far we’ve come, let us also recommit ourselves to the values that strengthen our democracy: transparency, accountability, equity, and peace. Let us remember that democracy is not just a system of government — it is a way of life that demands our active participation, our collective wisdom, and our unwavering patriotism.
Together, let us build a Nigeria where dreams are valid, justice is real, and opportunity is not limited by background or privilege.
