QUIT BEING TOO SALES DRIVEN!!!
When I decided to venture into hair extensions and accessories business (Attachment business as many of you might know it) in December 21, 2020 as a passive income investment before I started affiliate marketing.
I was connected to one of the big suppliers in Lagos.
I went to him, and he welcomed me and gave me advice for quickly growing my business.
In the hair market, particularly in relation to my region, he also suggested products that move quite quickly.
I decided to buy as a result and had the items shipped to my house.
He didn't stop there; he called me a week later to inquire about how business was doing.
I replied that I would return on January 6, 2021 to make additional purchases because I had experienced tremendous success. This happened just two weeks and two days following the company's launch.
He occasionally kept doing this, and he hasn't stopped.
The truth is that I kept returning because he actually cared and wanted to see me successful in the business, even if he occasionally offered discounts and prizes for being a repeat customer.
I questioned him why he gets so many calls after observing that he frequently receives calls about deliveries and payment confirmations. "Regina, I supply a significant amount of these hair products to customers all over Nigeria every day," he declared.
No, he didn't achieve that by magic; rather, he developed relationships over time.
Morale of the story is this.....
Digital Marketers/Online Business owners shouldn't always carry the mindset of selling whether we promote intangible or tangible products.
It is sometimes necessary to ask prospects and buying clients about their well-being.
Make sure to send a message or place a call after a long time to find out how their business, life is going.
Put yourself in their shoes and communicate like you know and understand their challenges.
So many opportunities have been missed trying to shove sales down prospects throats.
If you GENUINELY show people you care, then you'll experience a win in your business.
PS. Don't forget to put in more effort into that which puts food on your table.
