I am happy that finally, young people are speaking up.

I have always wondered how People in big cities like Lagos cope with the crazy traffic and high population.

The pollution, noise, chaos, disorder and lack of structure that I have witnessed in Oyo, Ogbomoso and Ilorin almost broke me. I cried when I first attended lectures in this school; I didn't know it was normal in Lagos- chaos, disorder, and noise (a huge part of our student population is from Lagos).

You get my point?

A young guy (looks like a recent graduate or so) posted on TikTok about his movement as a worker without a car in Lagos. I saw his movements- jumping from one bus to another, making a series of payments, running after trains and buses, and seriously, it broke me.

If a person wants to realistically live a healthy life, they're supposed to sleep for at least 8 hours and eat good food (which is highly likely the food you cooked yourself, you're the only one who can guarantee the safety and nutrition of the food), exercise and rest, with good mental health.

How is that possible when you wake up at 4am and return to work at 10 or 11pm? And you're likely on the bench if you're an average desk worker.

This ain't life.

Hello, my Facebook family!

Welcome to March, Women's month!😀

How have you been?

Recently, I have been learning about scatter plots.

Scatterplots are a type of data visualization that allows you to compare two numeric variables (or pieces of data) and see the relationship between them.

I was investigating a business question within the social justice domain, and answering it led me to break it down into sub-questions.

One of the sub-questions was to find the relationship between maternal mortality and the gender inequality index.

I used the correlation formula to obtain the correlation coefficient (r) and a scatterplot to visualize what was exactly happening.

A scatterplot can also be used to observe the coefficient, but I wanted the values before the visualization.

The scatterplot let me observe the general pattern, and the exceptions that did not allow either a perfect positive or a perfect negative correlation between the variables.

I see some variables sloping downwards (negative correlation)and some, upwards (positive correlation).

Scatterplots help me in understanding the distribution of my data, and what is happening with my variables.

In this case, I employed colour to visualize the Middle Income and Low Income countries, and I observed that Low Income countries generally had higher maternal mortality rates.

There was also an exception of a low-income country with less GII compared to others after it, but it had the highest maternal mortality rates.

Scatter plots are amazing.

VIDEO DESCRIPTION
A short eye-level video of a man, wearing a green shirt in an indoor setting painted white.
As the video plays, he exclaims in Yoruba why poor people leave their phones on DND (Do not disturb). He went on to add that there's no one particularly disturbing them, and sighs pitifully at the end of the video.
The video was meant to be sarcastic about people with no money shutting their phones off.

I attended an X Space on Friday.

It was curated by the host to bring the perspectives of analysts from different industries, ruminating about their day-to-day events as analysts, that kind of thing.

I thought the space would last for an hour, or 2 hours at most.

I joined at 6pm, but the space got past 8pm, and well extended into 9pm.

Young people, una too do abeg.

Una don start.

But this is why I love you.

You always bring up debates for us to ruminate on.

Won sowipe if I haven't read A Thousand Splendid Suns, I am not a reader.

Perhaps I wasn't in the time zone when it was decided that the criteria to be called a reader is to have read books by particular authors(s) or of a specific genre.

Expert readers, make una collect microphone explain abegi

Recently, a popular account narrated her work experience about ethics in the virtual workplace.

It was particularly about one of her coworkers who forgot to turn off her camera, and how everyone in the meeting shouted at her to turn it off, because she was not dressed (at all).

Unfortunately, she didn't hear (something like she turned off her audio.

At that point, several of her co-workers turned off her video to "preserve her dignity"

The meeting host ended the meeting afterwards.

I can't help but feel that the story seems strange.

How do you join the meeting? Weren't you given the option to preview your camera and audio before joining? Because the last time I checked, Zoom and Google Meet (which are the most common video conferencing tools aside from Microsoft Teams) have this functionality.

How come you forget to turn off the camera if you are self-aware of your camera and mic status?

The story isn't consistent abegii

Picture this: you sitting in your reading chair, clutching your blanket amidst the sound of rain splashing on the roof, and wind blowing across your veranda.

All the while reading Purple Hibiscus close to the table lamp.

Aren't rainy days just the best? 😊
