*Individual Tax Filing: What You Should Know*

Now that the Nigeria Tax Act has fully taken effect and the buzz has calmed down, let’s not forget—tax compliance is for everyone.

It’s not just for paid employees. If you live in Lagos and earn from gigs, side hustles, trading, or any personal business, you’re required to file your taxes.

Here are some FAQs to keep in mind:

- Who files? Every resident earning income.
- What’s taxable? Salarie, gigs, investments.
- How often? Annually (with monthly/quarterly remittances for some).
- Where? Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRSs, business profits, rent).
- Why comply? Avoid penalties, access loans, contracts, and government services.

✅ Key takeaway: Filing your taxes isn’t optional—it’s your duty and your right. Stay compliant, stay empowered.

*Self‑Reflection: To Die Is To Gain, To Rise Is Rebirth*

Easter is not only a celebration of resurrection—it is an invitation to deep self‑reflection. The story of the cross reminds us that death is not always loss; sometimes it is release. To die to pride, fear, resentment, or the chains of old habits is to gain freedom, clarity, and peace.

Rebirth is not simply about beginning again—it is about beginning transformed. Just as the tomb gave way to life, so too can our inner struggles give way to renewal if we dare to let go. Easter challenges us to ask: What must I allow to die within me so that something greater may rise?

In this season, may we embrace the paradox: that surrender is strength, endings are openings, and every death of the old self is a doorway to rebirth.

Happy Easter, Everyone.

*Navigating Uncertainty: 3 Steps to Thrive in Your New HR Role*

Starting a new role always comes with a level of uncertainty. No matter how much research you do about an organization—its history, culture, or structure—you can never be 100% sure what to expect until you’re fully immersed.

This feeling can be even more intense when you’re an entry-level HR professional stepping into a startup or an organization with little or no existing HR structure. It can feel overwhelming at first—but from experience, I can tell you it’s also an opportunity to build, influence, and create meaningful impact.

If you find yourself in this position, here are three key steps that can help you settle in quickly, stay focused, and stand out early:

1. Understand the business deeply
Take time to learn how the organization operates—its people, culture, communication style, and values. This insight will help you build trust and guide how you approach sensitive areas like change management.

2. Identify pain points and quick wins
What challenges is the organization currently facing? More importantly, what can you improve within your first 90 days? Focusing on quick wins helps you demonstrate value early and build credibility.

3. Know your stakeholders
Identify key decision-makers and influencers within the organization. Gaining their trust and buy-in will make your work more effective and help you drive initiatives faster.

Starting out may feel challenging, but it can also be one of the most fulfilling journeys if you stay intentional and committed to making an impact.

If you found this helpful, comment “GUIDE” and I’ll send you a free guide of a practical 90-day HR work plan to help you hit the ground running.

P.S- offer open till the 25th March 2026. Price return to $1 -N1500( naira equivalent) from 26th March 2026.
