Happy Birthday to a boss who gave me my First Employment Letter -

Looking for job was scary after been rejected during my I.T days 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️, one evening I saw visual plus studio job-offer pop up advert on facebook and I was like, is it possible!! What will it take? Can I give a try: I saw the form online and I fill it , automatically I was been directed to a WhatsApp chat , never knew who was that and I was asked to send my Jobs done, which I did and the next day was requested to come for an interview.

That day a lot was going through my mind, my thoughts was like, what if I fail!! I took the bold challenge to the studio and had to see him and he requested his staff to test run me, which I did and I guess the outcome was nice! Immediately was asked to resume work.

Technology is shaping the world we live in, yet girls and many minority groups in society are currently under-represented in the tech workforce. We believe that digital transformation must be accompanied by human transformation if everyone is to reap the rewards.

There is a shortage of skilled IT personnel and the demand is growing. From this perspective alone more girls are needed in technology to fill the skills shortage.

Jobs in technology innovation are varied, different skills are needed from coding to user experience and technology evaluation. The skillset covers a broad array of disciplines from mathematics to psychology. There is a place for all.’

Advice female to put more time to tech as they stand higher chances of doing better than male in the tech world.

The land of 𝗡́𝗗𝗢𝗞𝗜́
And the People Of 𝐔𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐈

An Ndọ̀ki community on the banks of a river, possibly the Imo, circa 1908.

The Ndoki subgroup is at the South Easternmost part of Igbo land, straddling between Ukwa area of Abia State, Oyigbo LGA of Rivers State, and pockets of them in the Western limits of AkwaIbom State.

Some people in Ijoid groups like Okrika and Ibani are of Ndoki descent. The Igbo dialect spoken in Bonny and Opobo areas of Rivers State is that of the Ndoki.

The Imo river flows through Ndoki land on its way to Opobo.

Ohambele Ndoki was a notable slave depot in the past. Azumini was another market town, notable for oil palm trade at the dawn of legitimate trade.

The oil palm wealth of Ndọ̀ki, along with that of the Ngwá, Ibibio and Annang hinterlands 'had contributed to the wealth of the Opobo citystate, who along with other riverine citystates were the middlemen in the trade between the Europeans and the people of the hinterlands.

Some scholars argue that Jaja's resistance of the British was not out of the desire to stop imperialism but due to his desire to make more profit in the trade by controlling the oil palm markets in the hinterlands, as letting the British trade directly with the hinterland markets would bring decline to the citystate's economy..

A legend is told about one "ODUM EGEGE" who had stood up against the domination and oppresion of Ndoki by the King and people of Opubo-ama, who lived miles, downstream the Imo river.
The King ordered Abiriba and Aro smiths to sculpt and mummify "Odum Egege" alive ! according to the legend...

Ndoki, an Igbo subgroup is bordered by the Ngwa and Asa Igbo subgroups to the North and West respectively, the Annang to the East, and the Ogoni to the South.
Together with the Asa, they are known as "Ụ̀kwà"

They have historic and trade ties with the Bonny (Ubani) and Opobo peoples. Okoloma is a clan name in both Ndoki and Bonny. The name "Ubani" is common among the Ndoki as well.

Akwete, an Ndoki clan is an Igbo heritage site for traditional cloth weaving. The prized fabric produced by the women of the clan also goes by the name of the clan "Akwete", a source of ethnic pride to the Igbo.

However, the cloth weaving industry began declining gradually, with the introduction of foreign fabrics.

Nwọtam is an Igbo masquerade with its origin in Ndoki land.

Akwete, Azumini, Akirika-obu, Afam and Ohambele are notable Ndoki clans.

Yea!! I choosed photography as Hobby instead of a Profession.

Sound strange right? yea it does!! FlashBack to 2017, learning Java programming with loctech institute port harcourt, Java programming was very boring and difficult at the learning process and sometimes gives a mood when my code fail to run due to error.

It makes me depressed most times and I don’t have a choice than to take a break away from my system and have some drinks with my friends. But it wasn’t a good one cause I was running away from what I was doing.

Emmanuel Ugwu was my colleague at my I.T place and he does better than I do . He summits his assignment correctly without no errors on his code. Emma was a photographer that shoot outdoors photos and make money from it. After our classes each day,Emma will go back to editing of photos. I love his images cause it put smile on my face and imagine how creative it was.

I realize I was beginning to love what he was doing and I feel energized after seeing new photos. I had to tell Emma about how I felt for photography and he promised to put me through.

He requested I get a new camera on my own since I already have a system, time fast, I prepared and got a new camera that was Nikon d3100, and I began my photography lifestyle. I needed it as part of something to give me vibe in what I love.

I learnt the basics so fast and was very happy I could know how to use the light, frame and freeze the moment.

I shot for free cause I used it as my hobby (what I do when bored) at some point I started taking lovely photos that made friends of friends started calling me and which later started bringing money to my table.
I started shooting mostly for the money cause it started taking lots of my time.

Later, got employed in a studio as they official outdoor photographer, was cool with the fact that every week I create images that make waves on social media. But the other way, I realize that am twisting my goal. Then I resigned from the studio and venture into tech fully.

Today, am really grateful for how well and how positive it has impacted in my life and the friends it got me connected to.

Happy world photography day to all the image creator

What You Need To Know About Technology

Technology isn’t an industry, it’s a method of transforming the culture and economics of existing systems and institutions.

That can be a little bit hard to understand if we only judge tech as a set of consumer products that we purchase.

But tech goes a lot deeper than the phones in our hands, and we must understand some fundamental shifts in society if we’re going to make good decisions about the way tech companies shape our lives—and especially if we want to influence the people who actually make technology.

Even those of us who have been deeply immersed in the tech world for a long time can miss the driving forces that shape its impact.

Get to love and understand Tech!! Cos it’s the future we getting to See 🧶
