Recap: A Special Visit to the Awoh of Ndoni đź‘‘

On 16 April 2026, the Association of Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries in Rivers State paid a courtesy visit to the Awoh of Ndoni, HRM Ogbaenyi Ijoma Samuel, during their general meeting.

The Association congratulated the monarch on his ascension to the throne, while its President, Sir Promise Ejiowhor, JP, described him as a father figure, mentor and man of truth who trained and impacted many civil servants.

The Natural Ruler and Iyiochi of Ndoni, HRM Awoh Ogbaenyi Ijoma Samuel, FNIM, today, 10th September 2026, inaugurated the Ndoni Council of Chiefs (Awoh in council).

During the meeting, HRM Awoh Ogbaenyi charged the Olinzele’s to continue promoting the customs and culture of Ndoni kingdom, while supporting the development of the community and the wellbeing of its people.

The natural ruler of Ndoni Kingdom, HRM Awoh Ogbaenyi Ijoma Samuel, FNIM, Awoh of Ndoni, joined other well-wishers at a thanksgiving Mass and celebration held in honor of a respected member of the Awoh-in-Council, High Chief Henry Nduka Odili (Ikogwe Ajie of Ndoni Kingdom), as he marked the anniversary of his birthday on 30th August 2026.

HRM Awoh Ogbaenyi Ijoma Samuel, Natural Ruler of Ndoni Kingdom witnessed the official commissioning of new General Hospital & Neuropsychiatric Hospital at Rumuigbo, Obio/Akpor LGA.

The revived and upgraded facility was constructed by the administration of His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, the Executive Governor of Rivers State.

The facility was commissioned by Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, outgoing chairman of Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), on 27th August 2026.

HRM Ogbaenyi Ijoma Samuel, FNIM, the revered natural ruler of Ndoni Kingdom, joined other respected dignitaries across Rivers State, in Omoku, for the official commissioning of the brand-new Omoku Zonal Hospital on 21 August 2026.

The hospital was commissioned by His Eminence Oba Barr. Nwachukwu Nnam Obi III, Oba (Eze Ogba) of Ogba Land. This landmark project was delivered by the Rivers State Government under the visionary administration of His Excellency Governor Sir Siminalaye Fubara GSSRS.

The general hospital stands as a testament to improved healthcare access for the people of Ogba Egbema Ndoni LGA, and environs. We thank his Excellency for the success of this project and our daughter- Prof. Adaeze Chidimma Oreh that saw to the accomplishment of the project, as then commissioner of health.
