From inception we set very high standards for the firm w
ith a strong client focus. Consequently, we were able to establish ourselves in the market and with time have been able to gain a leadership position especially in South – South Nigeria. Initially our primary focus was Economic Analysis (mainly Feasibility Studies) and Human Capital (mainly Personnel Selection). The early 90s saw us diversifying into Training as a result of identification of opportunities in this area of great need in Nigeria and globally. Again we have been able to establish ourselves firmly in this market and presently are in training partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group to provide management solutions to SMEs using Business EdgeTM (BE) and SME ToolkitTM, two of its flagship products to deliver a number of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Management Solutions to owners and managers of SMEs in Nigeria. Prior to this, we were Associated Experts of the Africa Project Development Facility (APDF), an organization jointly established by the African Development Bank (AfDB), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and 15 other donor countries to assist African entrepreneurs and to promote small and medium-sized businesses. During this period, we pioneered SME Training including packaging SMEs for finance. Among others, we carried out a Business Improvement Programme for Indigenous Contractors (BIPIC), the first of its kind in Nigeria, under a partnership between Shell Petroleum Development of Nigeria Ltd (SPDC) and APDF, in Port Harcourt and Warri. The Programme had modules for start - ups/businesses in their early stages and businesses in their growth phase. In addition to a strong client focus we lay a lot of emphasis on contributing to economic development and constantly seek opportunities to carry out pioneering work. Some assignments we have carried out in this direction include Risk and Vulnerability Assessment of South – South Nigeria (World Bank), Micro and Small Enterprise (MSE) Sector Study for Niger Delta Regional Development Master Plan (Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Blueprint for One Local Government One Product in Nigeria (Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria), Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) – Business Development Services (BDS) Nigeria Project (Federal Government of Nigeria and World Bank), Rivers State Investors’ Forum (G8 - a group of entrepreneurs and concerned stakeholders of Rivers State). The accomplishments highlighted above have been achieved by a team of committed and determined staff within a framework of high professional and ethical standards and guided by our vision, mission and shared values. We are one of Bank of Industry’s (BOI’s) Business Development Service Provider (BDSP) appointed to assist SMEs access funds for business start-up and expansion.
