Wondering why your kids don't listen to you?
With all the shouting and beating yet don't care to keep simple instructions.

How many times in a day do you say these words.
Don't run
No, you can't go outside now.
Sit down quietly
Stop shouting.
You have to finish your homework first
Stop crying
Can't you eat fast
Can't you write fast
Stop lazing around
You are such a pain in my ass
And the list is endless., 😩😩😩
Too many instructions lead to irritations in kids
We become like 24/7 background music for them.
It results in a child not listening to us
The easiest way to instruct a child is:
Pay attention to your negative language and turn your instructions into positive,
Instead of DONT HIT say PLEASE BE KIND
Instead of NO RUNNING say CAN WE WALK, PLAY OR CAN WE......
+. Instead of giving orders and instructions like a boss
Offer choices, "which subject do you want to do first, Maths or Language?"
and the most important part is choosing your fights.
You can't end up picking up all the battles with them.
Let them decide for themselves whenever wherever they can and at the same time being a parent have boundaries in place.
