The first time I ever tasted dried catfish pepper soup was in my late Iya Anu kitchen.
One special day, we had a family meeting and she needed to cook for the family. So she came up with the idea of making dried catfish pepper soup for them. As of that time it wasn't common but I trusted my mum's specialty when it comes to making delicacies .
As Omo IyaEleja who now turns BabaEleja of today, 1 got the live catfish and did what we know how to do best(Dried Fish). After the fish was properly dried I handed it over to her.
She finished making the pepper soup that day she served me one big head of catfish to have a taste. I ate the whole head that there was no left over.
Everyone who came also enjoyed it.
One thing about using dried catfish for pepper soup is that you can chew on the bones easily.
So you don't have to wait until you have fresh catfish before you cook your pepper soup.
