UNIVERSITY OF ABUJA (UNIABUJA) RELEASES POST-UTME/DE ADMISSION FORM FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

This is to inform all candidates who applied for admission into the University of Abuja for the 2025/2026 academic session—either through UTME or Direct Entry (DE)—that the Post-UTME screening registration will commence from Thursday, 14 August 2025 – Friday, 5 September 2025

NOTE:

Applicants who fail to register for this screening exercise will not be eligible for admission.

ELIGIBILITY

1. UTME applicants must score a minimum of 180 in UTME and meet the cut-off mark for their chosen programme.

2. Must have at least 5 credits including Mathematics and English in not more than two sittings.

3. Must upload their O’Level results on the JAMB portal.

4. Direct Entry applicants must have NCE, IJMB, ND, First Degree, or HND.

– Candidates with JUPEB or NABTEB ‘A’ Level need not apply.

5. All DE applicants must upload their A’Level results on the JAMB portal and get it verified.

6. All applicants must be at least 16 years old by Tuesday, 30 September 2025.

7. All applicants must ensure that their subject combination aligns with the requirements for the course they applied for.

8. Awaiting result candidates should not register.

2025/2026 PRE-ADMISSION SCREENING REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

1. Visit: APPLICATION PORTAL then click “click here to apply”

2. Click undergraduate link on the left panel

3. Enter your JAMB Registration Number and click on “get details”

4. Fill in basic info (ensure valid phone number and email)

5. Pay a non-refundable fee of ₦2,000 via:

– Generate RRR, proceed to make payment using any platform (bank, USSD, ATM, etc.)

– Enter OTP code sent to your email/phone and complete your payment

6. Click “login to dashboard” to complete your registration using JAMB Reg. No and surname

7. Print out the completed registration form and keep it safe

JAMB admission deadlines for 2025/2026
Following directives issued at the 2025 Policy Meeting chaired by the Honourable Minister of Education, all tertiary institutions have been instructed to conclude their admission processes by the end of 2025 according to the schedule below:

Public universities: To complete admissions by 31st October, 2025.
Private universities: To complete admissions by 30th November, 2025.
All other institutions (public and private): complete admissions by 31st December, 2025.

JAMB admission deadlines for 2025/2026
All institutions are encouraged to finalise admissions well in advance of these deadlines. Even where an institution is not yet ready to commence the new academic session, such an institution should conduct its admission and archive it. By this policy directive, all admission processes must be concluded within the prescribed timelines. Stakeholders at the policy meeting reached this decision to stabilise the academic calendar and ensure equitable access to admission slots across all tiers of tertiary education.

Consequently, institutions conducting post-UTME screenings are expected to conclude those exercises in good time to comply with the 2025 admission schedule.

JAMB notice to Direct Entry candidates on correction of data

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) wishes to inform all Direct Entry (DE) candidates that the portal for correction of data particularly changes to course and institution will be activated in due course.

According to JAMB, it is important to note that this service is not typically made available prior to the release of A‑level results by the respective issuing authorities. This procedural approach ensures that candidates’ academic records are complete and verifiable before any modifications are permitted

Candidates should also be reminded that, with the exception of those awaiting results, all relevant details were collected during the registration exercise. As such, the timing of the data correction window is both deliberate and logical, aimed at maintaining the integrity of the admission process.

Further announcements regarding the commencement of this service will be made via official JAMB communication channels. Candidates are advised to remain patient and stay informed through the Board’s website and accredited platforms.

REGISTRATION FOR 2025/2026 UTME/DE SCREENING EXERCISE

This is to request all candidates who applied for admission into the University of Abuja for the 2025/2026 academic session, either as their first choice in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or through Direct Entry (DE), to register online for the Post-UTME screening, starting from Thursday 14 August 2025 – Friday 5 September 2025.
Applicants who fail to register for this screening exercise will not be eligible for admission into the University for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Please note that candidates who do not meet the criteria listed below are not eligible to apply for the screening exercise.

ELIGIBILITY

i. UTME applicants must score a minimum of 180 in their UTME Examination and meet the minimum cut-off points for their chosen programmes.

ii. Applicants must have at least 5 credits including Mathematics and English in their O’Level result at not more than two (2) sittings.

iii. Applicants must upload their O’Level results on the JAMB portal.

iv. Direct Entry applicants must have NCE, IJMB, ND, First Degree or HND. Candidates with JUPEB or NABTEB ‘A’ Level NEED NOT apply.

v. All Direct Entry applicants MUST upload their A Level result on the JAMB Portal and have it verified by the respective institutions from which they acquired the A Level result.

vi. All applicants must be 16 years and above by Tuesday 30 September 2025.

vii. All applicants must ensure that the subject combination for their UTME aligns with the subject requirement for the courses they are applying for.

viii. Awaiting result candidates need not register for the post-UTME.
