Today's Daily Lift:

"Feel Secure in Your Value".

There's a tale of a king who arose in the middle of the night and fixed the wick of a lamp to prevent it from extinguishing. His subjects asked him,
"why did you not ask us to do it?"

"I was the king when i arose, and i was still the king when i went back to sleep", he replied.

The lesson: Someone who is aware of his or her value does not worry about losing it".

Today on ™ .

Before the outbreak of covid-19 in 2020, I did series of classes themed "Tomorrow 4.0" on the concept "globalisation". Discussing many of the discontents therein, but also exploring the many benefits.

Many love whining and blaming looking for perfect concept to solve many of our societal pain points. Look, perfect society will always pass us by. So, stop whining and game-blaming.

Now, I'll be starting another shared thoughts themed "Tomorrow 5.0" on the construct called "glocalisation".

Globalisation + Localisation = Glocalisation. Thinking Global, but Acting Local. No straight-jacket approach.

Remember, solutions are not be in places, but solutions are in people.

"Just Start..."

Indeed, weaving beneath each tale or story is an inner strength borne of stopping at nothing to find one's passion or purpose rather than allowing our music to die on the inside.

A central point is how many of us are waiting to feel ready, waiting to feel good enough], waiting for the perfect moment to "magically arrive" before going after what we truly want. The problem is that perfect moment may never arrive.

Everyday we are to push through fears and and comfort zones especially if you are an entrepreneur or business owner, even in our career and relationships. Look, the reward is to arrive at places we never thought possible. That element that propel this reward or possibilities is called GRACE! Lest any man or woman should boast.

The street where people like me came from [Mushin/Surulere Combo] doesn't pay attention to boasting...you'll be passed by because there's always the finest car, cutest babe, most handsome guy, nicest whatever on the street. The Street leave no vacuum for nothingness.

Shey you get am?😀

Do enjoy the rest of your day. But remember, change begins at home!

Dear Young Men and Women,

Paying attention to the wisdom and advice from the elderly - those who survived these past 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 + years is a good reminder; a reminder that the elderly have played such a valuable role in creating who we are. Some of them survived different pandemics, civil war, financial crisis, marital crisis, socioeconomic and political crisis, and some probably divorces too.

Listening to them can be invaluable to you as you struggle to mud through your own fears.

They are a continued blessing to life on this planet.

I, Akintola Akinsanya say, thank you for LIVING.

Did they make mistakes? Yes, but they LIVE.

Are you LIVING?

If all you do is cast aspersions against the mistakes of others, the veil won't allow you to learn even from those mistakes.

By the way, I learnt that the thing about a lot of self-help is that it's like smoking crack. It gives you a spike of "feel good" and then you feel worse than ever.

Look, my friend, find the advice that works and stick to it. Don't be swayed by the illusion of knowing. Remember, don't do life alone.

I hope this helps?

Thank you and God Bless 🙏

"Gesturing During Public Speaking."
I started speaking in public as far back as in high school. I went to only-boys school, so the idea of prepping well before going to speak to the girls from other schools is of necessity. The midnight oil of words craming, endless love letters to recite, mountain of books to read, et al - not a joke.
There's one embarrassing moment of my life 🙈 when I read a letter I painstakingly wrote myself titled "An Open Letter To My Future Wife". That day I was shaking as though the ground should open up and swallow me. I was embarrassed, but I learnt my lesson.
Over the years I've learnt from great men and women either by listening to them repeatedly or by asking them questions {those I have the opportunity to meet}.
One key lesson aside others is; if you want to learn how to speak, start speaking. Speak to yourself. Speak into the atmosphere and hear yourself.
Key Lessons I've learnt over the years about gesturing when public speaking:
- Gesturing naturally changes the motion of your hands to match the contents you're sharing.
- We've also been told that talking with your hands helps you think when public speaking.
- Talking with your hands makes you look and sound interesting
- Talking with your hands also makes you look like a leader.
- Talking with your hands helps you to stay calm.
Some studies have shown that the hands bone is connected to the voice bone. So, use your hands in a firm and purposeful manner that conveys to say "I meant to say that".
Remember, if you don't start you can't grow. Even the greatest of public speakers still feel that "butterfly" within.
I hope this helps? See you on the flip side of the mic😄.

"Herstory: Celebrating Women in Business, Career, Governance for such a time as this".

Not sure if you heard it before today, but March belongs to the women because it is officially International Women's Month. Okrurrrrrrr!🤦‍♂️🙅

So, if you're a woman business owner or in career or governance, politics, or whatever you do, please allow me to applaud you for your faith, magic, tenacity, excellence and greatness. Sis, you are out here winning and I want you to know I see you and I'm rooting for you!

What you women do isn't always easy but you women continue to shine and glow up even in the midst of BS and chaos.

As moms, sisters, aunties, cousins, wives, girlfriends, besties, partners and colleagues you show up for others (even when you don't take the time to show up for yourselves).

And this month (and every month), I salute you. Salud (pronounced in Italia).

Now, hypothetically thinking out loud, with more than [how many years now🤔?] of entrepreneurial and career experiences respectively, you've undoubtedly ended up with a few bumps and bruises and learned a treasure chest of vital business and life lessons and I'm here curiously wanting to know whatever it is you did [and still doing] to make your journey way more smooth despite apparent challenges.

So, my questions to all the women herein is;

- I want to know the top 3 things you do that has helped you level up?

- I want to know the process or the story behind the process you went through when you started out in your business or career? How was or has been the experience(s) like?

- I want to know about the top must-have skills for business owners especially in this age and time?

Whatever the questions I asked above, pardon me. It's curiosity and inquisitiveness.

We can win alone. But together we THRIVE.

Over the years we've always wanted to make history, this time let's make some HERSTORY!

Happy International Women's Day.

As I await your responses, remember, change begins at home!
