How to start Amazon KDP

First head on to ====>kdp.amazon.com and sign up

Secondly i you need to know the kind ebook you want to upload.

Is it a

Children book
Sketch book
Journals
Children colour book
Every green book

Decide on any of the books you want to publish on Amazon.

Thirdly make a research on the topics of your ebook and create a good eye-catching ebook cover.

You may ask why is ebook cover and title important?

I know that you must have heard this saying before

Don't judge a book by it colour

Right?

In Amazon is completely the opposite.people who comes to buy book on Amazon can literally judge the content of your ebook by it cover and it title. Because it is your ebook title and the ebook cover that they will first see that will make them to think of checking your ebook or not.

So you must invest your time and money to create a good ebook cover. The title too you must make a research to know the best words to use in your title that people can search for.

And you also must know the ebook cover format that Amazon accept for KDP and paper back.
For KDP Amazon accept Jpeg and in Paperback they accept PDF

And the next is to write the author the ebook.

In Amazon their is something that called "Pen name"

Pen names are legal.Most of the ebook authors you see on Amazon the names they use are not their real names.

Pen names is very important in your Amazon kdp success.why?

Let take for example

Let say you want to learn how you can cook OFADA RICE ๐Ÿš with sauce. Now you come to Amazon and search for how to cook OFADA rice with sauce and the first book that appears in the front pages has this name

Kim chu or Kin Jun Hu

You will be very sceptical because the author name is a Chinese man, what does Ofada rice has to do with a Chinese man.Ofada rice is a Nigerian rice and a Yoruba food for that matter.So wetin concern Ofada rice with Chinese man na?

Now let say again that you see this name as the author Olariwaju Adeleke.

Now you will be convince the he know it because he is a NIGERIAN Man and a Yoruba man.

So pen names are very important because US saturate 80% of the market. So if they see a name that is not and English name as the author, the chances of them buying your ebook is very slim.

Fourth one

After you have created and design your ebook title and ebook cover the next is your manuscript.

You can use google docs or Microsoft Office to write your ebook. Make sure you do proper editing of your ebook before uploading it in Amazon.
This area is very important, you need to edit your manuscript very very well. The are some apps that can help you to edit your ebook very well. Apps like Grammarly can help you to do proper editing.

Then if your ebook is more that 25 pages you need to make sure your table of content is clickable.without it you will be having problems with Amazon when you want to upload it. I suggest you use WPS for Android user.

Then the next one is your title description

You can't no just write anything in your description.your description is a way you advertise your ebook.Your description must tell the potential buyers what is inside your ebook.it doesn't have to be too long. Two short paragraph is enough. Your goal in your title description should be to help your audience to know what is inside.

The the next is your keyword and this is the most important of them all.
If you have a good ebook title and a good book description and you did not do a proper keyword research on your ebook, then you are not going to make a dime on your ebook.

You can not just write anyhow words or phrases in the keyword bar and except that people will buy your ebook. You must research on keyword that those who are searching for ebook related to your topics are likely to search for.

Then you will also search for how many people have written the topics of your ebook on Amazon. Now ebook less than 1000 search result are likely to do very well..

Now next the the keyword search and keywords that you're going to use in your ebook.if many people are using those keyword it
show that ii is very competitive.

So I usually use google keyword planner, answer the public, buzzimo and many orders when am researching for my ebook keywords.

Also make sure that the keyword you use is not a trademark keyword, so that AMAZON will not ban your account.

Amazon allow you to use 7 keywords for your ebook.Though you can still use phrases too,that it if you want.

Now you set your price of your ebook whether you want to get 35 % of royalties or 70%.

Then published your ebook.

Amazon will review your ebook and they will send a email to you that your ebook it now live.
