MAY 2026 MESSAGE

Beloved Professional Colleagues,

Happy New Month and welcome to May.

I sincerely appreciate your continued cooperation, trust, and commitment to the growth of our Chapter.
Your steady engagement and quiet sacrifices remain the foundation upon which we continue to build a stronger professional community.

As we reflect on the enriching experience of the 2026 NPR Week in Kaduna, we are reminded of the strength that comes from unity and shared purpose. With the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) ahead in November, we are already working with focus and optimism to ensure a purposeful and impactful representation of our Chapter on the global stage.

To strengthen our delivery, committees have been constituted and members so appointed are encouraged to serve with diligence, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility. More members will be added to these committees to further strengthen them.

Our monthly meetings will now hold on the last Monday of every month, beginning Monday, May 25th, 2026, at 2pm prompt. The venue will be communicated soon.
I encourage everyone to adjust accordingly so that we continue to build a more inclusive and engaging Chapter experience for all.

I commend members who remain committed to their MCPD obligations and encourage others to take advantage of these opportunities for continuous professional growth.

Members are also kindly reminded to ensure prompt settlement of their national and state dues, as well as other financial obligations to the Chapter. This remains a core expectation of professional responsibility and a critical requirement for sustaining our programmes and activities.

As we move through a season of heightened political activity, I urge all members to uphold responsible communication in every form, spoken, written, or digital.

Let us remain guided by accuracy, balance, ethical judgment, and restraint, avoiding misinformation and preserving the integrity of our profession.

Above all, let us continue to contribute meaningfully to a peaceful and progressive Abia State.

Happy New Month once again.

Happy Workers’ Day, and God bless you.
