Shepherd’s Court is a 15-floor luxury mixed-use development that comprises multifamily residential units of 2,3 and 4 bedroom apartments and 3-penthouse maisonettes, complete with multi-storey parking, suspended swimming pool, multipurpose hall with a serviced kitchen, gym, meeting rooms/suites, and generous terraces all around for outdoor entertainment.
The typical floor has three wings and is serviced by three lifts & two fire-protected staircases. There are
different apartment configurations applied at different levels to create a mix of apartment types and finishes to suite different household types and needs.

KEYM Residence, Ikoyi.

It is one of two identical neo-classical buildings that we were asked to remodel whilst maintaining as much of the language of the exterior facade as possible but to completely gut out the interior elements and services infrastructure as a design & build contract.

The interior design language is a departure from the it’s exteriors. We had to completely rethink, replan, substructure & add to manipulate the access, circulation, vistas, visual connections, quality of light and perception of space.

We have deliberately made the windows (ground floor only), doors, cabinets and wardrobes full height (ceiling high). We have used pocket glass sliding doors to blur the separation between indoor and outdoor spaces. We replaced a chunky and poorly built reinforced concrete staircase with a lovely steel, glass & timber staircase which sits lightly within the foyer.

The swimming pool is the primary outdoor space and feature of the house and used to be smaller, elevated and only visible at the back of the house and accessible from the kitchen. Our modifications have integrated it physically and visually with the home.

We hope it’s new owners will love it as much as we do.
