So this morning a client working into my office with a broken heart told me about a grant application he was applying for.

According to him he has all the required documents including CAC documents but unfortunately the request was declined after concluding the final phase. Then I asked him what was the purpose of the decline? he answered and said the response he got from them on the system was that his company status is inactive on the CAC portal that he should go to the CAC portal to update his company annual returns in other for it to be active before his grant application will be honoured.

You see that is just the truth. One thing to get your CAC documents and another most important thing is to stay compliance by filing the regular annual returns.

In many occasions I have shared it here that if your registered business or company is showing inactive it means the company has defaulted in filing annual returns. The implication is that you might loose a chance of getting a contract or either loan or grants just bcus your company status is showing inactive on the CAC portal.

Recently the corporate affairs commission release a general notice that they will start delisting another 100,000 businesses including companies and NGO's that has defaulted in filing annual returns from 13th of this month October 2026

*How time flies*

During my early days as a baby my parents took me to this church called "HOLY GHOST BELIEVERS CHURCH" and today I am surprised that I was hired to update the filling of the church annual returns that was registered since 1999 and also process the SCUML certificate registration.
