As the Lead Consultant for informal sector engagement and enrollment to the Akwa Ibom State Health Insurance Agency, I led my team on a sensitization exercise at the Akwa Ibom State College of Education. Through this engagement, over 4,000 students are expected to be enrolled into the scheme beginning January 19, 2026.

This activity forms part of our ongoing campaign across tertiary institutions in Akwa Ibom State to promote the Tertiary Institutions Social Health Insurance Programme (TISHIP), reinforcing our commitment to inclusive access to quality healthcare and ensuring that no one is left behind

The focus of the engagement was to promote the integration of both staff and students into the health insurance scheme. This session also served to strengthen the existing partnership between the Agency and the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), reinforcing our shared commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare.
