VACANCIES FOR ENVIRONMENTAL TRAINEES (GIS)
An Environmental Consultancy Company based in Port Harcourt wishes to recruit young talented Scientists resident in Port Harcourt to fill a vacant position. The successful candidate will be trained on Geographical Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing (RS) and Environmental Studies.

Trainee Geographic Information Systems Scientist
QUALIFICATIONS
HND/B.Sc. in Geology, Geography and Environmental Management or related fields
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Submit CV along with an application letter in a single file in MS Word or pdf with the subject heading ‘GIS TRAINEE’ to the following email ([email protected]) before 22nd April 2019. The file name of your application should be your full name. Early submission before the deadline is encouraged. Do not include certificates during your submission. Certificates will be screened and submitted during the interview of shortlisted candidates only.
OTHER CONDITIONS
Interviews shall involve oral and written examination. Only the successful candidates will be subjected to medical fitness tests. Successful candidates will be given provisional employment and trained on the job for one year and can be given permanent employment only if their performance is satisfactory. Assessment will be done quarterly and if a candidate training progress in not satisfactory, the provisional employment could be terminated. Please, note that any false declaration or misleading information by you could lead to your disqualification at any stage or termination if discovered after employment. Gross disregard to safety and security could also lead to immediate termination of traineeship/employment.
