This year, brings back the late Hans van Manen’s fiery ballet 5 Tango's, one of the master choreographer’s most frequently performed pieces worldwide. 5 Tango’s premiered in 1977, originally accompanied by a scratchy LP recording. In 1998, Van Manen invited to perform the music live with Dutch National Ballet at the Muziektheater Amsterdam. Carel and his ensemble have since also appeared with the company at the Edinburgh Fringe in Scotland.

At , 5 Tango's will be accompanied by the Carel Kraayenhof Ensemble - consisting of , , Jaap Branderhorst, Juan Pablo Dobal, .w.drums, and . It is one of three performances in the program Paquita / Carmen / 5 Tango's.

Next Thursday, February 5th, will be performing at Heerlen. In addition to Haydn's beloved String Quartet Opus 20 No. 6 and Ravel's String Quartet in F Major, the quartet will excel in Szymanowski's String Quartet No. 2 - a Bartokian work, not often encountered in the concert hall. As of today, January 27th, Nikola Meeuwsen’s worldwide general management will transfer from Domselaer Artist Management to Intermusica.

The Domselaer team have very much enjoyed working with Nikola over the past three years, we are grateful to have been part of his journey. It fills us with pride that Domselaer was able to contribute to his development towards the great artist he is today. We are confident that Nikola’s future development and engagements will be in excellent hands with Intermusica, and we wish Nikola all the best with his future endeavours!

In their new program Bach in Buenos Aires, the Quartet joins forces with cellist Nuala McKenna. The program combines the magic of the tango with the timeless music of J.S. Bach. Through works by Astor Piazzolla, Bach, Carel Kraayenhof and the quartet's pianist, Juan-Pablo Dobal, classical music and tango will be united in energetic and melancholic compositions.

This Friday, January 16th, they will perform the program at . Tickets at the link in our bio! The day after, Saturday January 17th, they will take the stage at .venlo, which is already sold out.

Luckily they will continue playing the program this season: February 11th at and March 26th in Lochem!

Founded in 2003 by , brings unique chamber music experiences to everyone, whether young or old, new or experienced. With over 50 concerts throughout the city of Utrecht, the festival hosts the international and national top, while also offering the stage to new talent.

will be performing in two of the concerts this year. On Saturday December 27th, he will perform Cesar Franck's sonata for violin and piano with in the opening concert, alongside many other talented artists.

On Tuesday December 30th, he will perform with the New Generation, a special concert in which new artists get the chance to showcase their talent - this year playing work by Schumann and Smetana.

After the unprecedented success of earlier this year, the Netherlands' largest classical film music event returns to this fall with extra December concerts in a special edition: The Evening of Film Music: The Christmas Edition.
