Although digital systems for monitoring and controlling pests have been on the market for more than a decade, for many pest managers it is still too big a step to take (all at once). Obviously, digitizing a complete customer base requires a significant investment.
Yet people are also aware of the increasing costs for wages and transport, among other things. What you often see is that pest managers convert a handful of customers to Xignal, who, for example, are located further away, undergo strict audits, and/or are less accessible due to safety and hygiene. This way they can be convinced by the system and gradually decide whether and when they will convert more customers.
Ultimately, I think it's just a matter of time. The emphasis of the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) guidelines is explicitly on visualizing the activities of pests. In addition, there is almost no room left for rodenticides. The first 3 of the 4 steps of IPM include the 3 M's for good reason. Monitoring, Management and the use of Mechanical traps.
And that’s exactly what Xignal offers with our solution.
I am convinced that the traditional method of pest control will soon only be found in a museum.
