¡Nueva inversión en Argentina! 🇦🇷 LDC construirá una planta de molienda de girasol y soja en Bahía Blanca, una región clave para la producción de oleaginosas, integrada con la infraestructura existente de puerto, almacenamiento y logística.

Al incorporar altos niveles de automatización, sistemas integrados de manejo de materiales e infraestructura energética basada en biomasa renovable, la futura planta estará diseñada para operar de manera eficiente, optimizar el uso de energía y reducir las emisiones operativas.

Este desarrollo marca un nuevo paso estratégico para LDC, apoyando el desarrollo agroindustrial de Argentina y respondiendo a la demanda global de aceites vegetales destinados tanto a la alimentación como a la producción de biocombustibles.

New investment in Argentina! 🇦🇷 LDC is building a sunflower seed and soybean processing plant in Bahía Blanca, a key oilseeds production region, integrated with our existing port, storage and logistics infrastructure.

Benefiting from high automation, integrated material handling systems and energy infrastructure based on renewable biomass, the future plant is designed to for efficiency, energy optimization and reduced operational emissions.

This development marks another strategic step for LDC, supporting agro-industrial development in Argentina and meeting global vegetable oil demand across food and biofuel applications.

Can regenerative practices help future-proof a coffee farm? 🌱 On her seven-acre farm in Bulela Nabumbugu, Uganda, Nakiyemba Hazia is planting shade trees, mulching cut grass and building terraces to place nutrients where roots can use them, even after heavy rain.

These changes mean drier spells affect her coffee plants less and her farm is better set up to thrive, showing how regenerative practices can support farmers in building resilience to climate change impacts.

Ever tried making authentic Mexican 'Red Rice' (Arroz Rojo) at home? This easy recipe brings restaurant‑quality flavor to your kitchen using simple pantry staples. The key is properly toasting the rice before adding the tomato mixture

We prepared it using Bella Luna long‑grain rice sourced by LDC.

Ingredients
200 g long‑grain white rice
3 small garlic cloves
3 medium Roma tomatoes
80 g chopped onion
10 ml chicken consommé powder (or chicken stock cubes)
5 ml ground black pepper
5 ml salt
30 ml vegetable oil
500 ml hot water

Instructions
1. In a blender or food processor, combine the garlic, tomatoes, onion, consommé powder, salt and pepper. Puree until smooth. Set aside.
2. In a medium skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the rice and cook, stirring frequently, until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
3. Pour in the tomato mixture and stir to combine. Cook for about 3 minutes, or until the mixture is mostly absorbed.
4. Add the hot water, stir and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the water is fully absorbed and the rice is tender.
5. If the rice isn’t fully cooked but the liquid is gone, add 2 tablespoons of water, cover and cook for another 2 minutes.
6. Remove from heat and rest, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.
