More than 50 Romanian business associations visited this year’s edition of the ‘Sum of Parts’,
the international conference dedicated to business associations, for the first time in Bucharest.
On November 23, 2017 the meeting was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Bucharest to discuss the competitiveness of the Romanian associative environment. Hosted by the Dutch management consultancy Group-MSA and with the support of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Bucharest, business associations in Romania were brought together to understand and debate the needs and opportunities of Romanian business associations in the current economic context.
The agenda created a dynamic meeting, bringing speakers as from the National Council of Small and Medium Sized Private Enterprises in Romania, the Association of People the Romanian Business Chamber, the British-Romanian Chamber of Commerce, the Romanian Lobby Register, the Business Women Forum Romania and others.
In addition, innovative themes exposed techniques on how to improve association management, lobbying and advocacy, relationship with members and solutions to identify the best services. The business associations that participated are representative of the key sectors of the Romanian economy - agriculture, industry, IT, construction, automobiles, etc.
Also some of the most important banking providers (ING Bank), Insurance (Allianz - Tiriac) and Telecommunications (RCS - RDS) accepted the invitation to understand and contribute to the needs of business associations to help ensure the further development of integrating products and services with the wishes of the members of business associations in Romania.
The ‘Sum of Parts’ conference is held annually in various European cities and is intended to emphasize the mission of business associations, to be an active part of society and to successfully represent the interests of its members. Definitely also this edition of Sum of Parts will result in Group-MSA increasing its business activities and collaborations in Romania. So be on the lookout for another event coming spring 2018. Group-MSA is here to stay in Romania!
