Warm slippers don’t have to be boring.

There’s something so satisfying about watching Gianna embroider. We could watch her for hours, seeing a design slowly come together, stitch by stitch.

Every time we visit her, we ask if she still enjoys doing the embroidery. And every time, she tells us how much she loves it. She even says it helps her relax.

Gianna is one of the women who embroider our slippers by hand from their homes in Greece. No machines, no programmed patterns. Just years of experience, a needle, some yarn and a lot of patience.

It’s one of the things we love most about making our slippers this way. Not only because the result is so much more beautiful and personal, but also because of the people behind them.

By choosing to keep this part of the process handmade, we’re helping to preserve traditional skills and making sure there’s still work for women like Gianna, who genuinely love what they do.

Kefi is joy, good spirits and that feeling of really being up for something. It can be a night out, a long dinner with friends, dancing, music, or simply waking up and feeling like today is going to be a good day.

The Greeks even say they “have” kefi: έχω κέφι - echo kefi. When you have kefi, you’re in the mood, you feel like doing things, seeing people and enjoying yourself. And when you don’t? Δεν έχω κέφι - den echo kefi. Not today.
