Energy generating design facades. Our facades contribute to a green and solar based future. Wij maken Solar Design voor gevels. We noemen dit Solar Design.

Met innovatieve zonnepanelen op gevels draagt Studio Solarix bij aan de ontwikkeling van slimme steden waar gebouwen meer energie opwekken dan ze verbruiken. In onze nieuwe generatie gevelpanelen koppelen we zonne-energie aan schoonheid in de gebouwde omgeving. Studio Solarix wil energie geven aan mensen en gevels. Wij ontwerpen en ontwikkelen onze eigen kleurencollectie zonnepanelen voor op de gevel, die zorgen voor optimale kleur en energie. Met ons Solarix Solar systeem realiseren wij hoogwaardige duurzame gevels. Studio Solarix werkt aan toekomstgerichte oplossingen die nu toepasbaar zijn. Onze energie opwekkende gevelpanelen zijn volledig geïntegreerd in de uitstraling van slimme gebouwen. Naast een gevel die energie levert, kunnen we met leds en sensoren SMART gevels maken die reageren op weersomstandigheden of voorbijgangers. Een actieve zonnegevel met een combinatie van schoonheid en hersens. Studio Solarix biedt het eigentijdse antwoord op slimme steden en de energietransitie.

We’re excited to be part of Paviljoen BLOK, a travelling pavilion that brings together circular, biobased and low-carbon innovations under one roof, showcasing what’s already possible in sustainable construction today!

We're proud to contribute to this initiative with the first prototype of the Solarix Habitat Panel, a new concept from our ongoing research and development. As buildings become more sustainable, how can we make them more nature-inclusive too? With traditional nesting spaces disappearing and solutions often added as separate elements, Solarix is exploring a different approach by integrating biodiversity directly into the architecture itself through the Solarix facade system.

📍 From 17 October, Paviljoen BLOK will be on display at , at Machinekamerplein in Eindhoven, before continuing its journey across the Netherlands. Don't miss it!

Designing campuses for the future.

Campuses and science parks play a crucial role in the economic growth and innovation of the Netherlands. They are places where new technologies are developed, ideas are exchanged, and solutions for the future take shape.

At Park 20|20 in Hoofddorp, these ambitions are reflected in the architecture itself. Developed by G&S&, constructed by Kondor Wessels Amsterdam and designed by MVSA Architects, the project is on the way to achieve the BREEAM Outstanding design certification.

These renders by MVSA Architects offer a preview of the project as a whole, while also showing how Solarix solar facade will be integrated into the facade as part of the architectural design and its wider sustainability ambitions.

A bold yellow solar facade is on the way !

This new educational building will bring together a branch of Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and a secondary school. For this project, a vibrant yellow colour match for RAL 1018 was developed with a hexagonal mesh layer.

In total, 245 m² of Solarix solar facade panels will be installed, combining the custom yellow panels with our black solar facade panels in a matt finish (B-904). Together, these panels transform the building envelope into an active source of renewable energy.

Construction is now well underway and progressing quickly. We’re looking forward to seeing the Solarix panels installed.

It’s a wrap for the neext Datacenter Summit 2026!

The cloud may feel invisible, but the infrastructure behind it is very real and requires a significant amount of energy. Building facades can play a role in helping generate that energy.

On Wednesday, 9 September 2026, Solarix will join the neext Datacenter Summit in Berlin to discuss resilient and sustainable digital infrastructure. As a partner of neext – powered by Drees & Sommer we are happy to bring our perspective on energy-generating facades to the conversation.

Silvester Filkorn will represent Solarix as a speaker, joined on-site by his colleague Joep Oudendijk.

A new Solarix solar facade is taking shape !

The Campus is a new office complex consisting of five buildings, currently under development at Park 20|20 in Hoofddorp Business Park, in the Amsterdam region.

For this project, 335 m² of Solarix Metallic Window Grey (ME-891) solar facade panels will be installed. The panels feature a hexagon pattern adding variation to the facade while also improving panel efficiency compared to a full-surface metallic finish.

.sWhat if the future of Dutch architecture could generate its own energy while restoring the landscape it stands in?

Polderlab Delft does exactly that. Designed by ZUS (Zones Urbaines Sensibles), the former Dutch farm is nestled in the green landscape between Rotterdam and Delft.

Inspired by the Dutch polders, the project reflects a landscape that has long been shaped by water. As the Netherlands continues to adapt to a changing climate, Polderlab shows how architecture can work with nature to create a more resilient future.

☀️ As part of the holistic design, 218 m² of Solarix solar panels have been integrated into the roof. Finished in Mist Blue from the Solarix Mono Collection, the panels were carefully colour-matched to the architecture, allowing renewable energy to become a natural extension of the building's design.

On its way to Heidelberg, Germany!

354 m² of Solarix Metallic Amaranth Red (ME-855) BIPV facade panels are on their way to this exciting new-build project.

Paired with our frost glass, the panel achieves a sophisticated matte appearance that subtly softens the visibility of the underlying solar cells. At the same time, the combination of the metallic finish and diffused glass creates a rich, dynamic colour effect that changes beautifully with the angle of light.

We're looking forward to seeing these panels installed!
