Nordisk Sikkerhet provides State Border Guard Service (SBGS) of Ukraine with reserve power equipment, which is needed after the damage and destruction of main power infrastructure throughout the country. The provision of reserve power equipment will ensure preservation of SBGS capabilities in detection, localization, and handling of illicit nuclear and radiological materials at the Ukrainian borders.

New tender announcement published

Nordisk Sikkerhet announces three new open tenders for its ongoing project with the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency of Tajikistan (NRSA) in anticipation of active work to implement the commitments of the Republic of Tajikistan and international donors for remediation of uranium ore tailings and processing waste in the country.

The three tenders are for:

Bid #1 "Supply of control and measuring instruments: Calorimeter and Derivatograph".

Bid #2 "Supply of laboratory reagents, ion exchange resins, and control solutions".

Bid #3 "Supply of database hardware".

​On 15-16 February 2018, Nordisk Sikkerhet experts visited the Atomflot facility in Murmansk. During the visit Nordisk Sikkerhet staff ​participated in an equipment acceptance process which saw all equipment for the current project successfully delivered to Murmansk.​

Nordisk Sikkerhet recently participated in the XIV Ukrainian Conference on Physical Protection, Control and Accounting of Nuclear Material held from 18-22 September at the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant. The international conference brought together representatives from Ukraine, Sweden, Norway and the United States to address issues of physical protection and the control and accounting of nuclear material.

Nordisk Sikkerhet is pleased to announce its application to the Norwegian government for a project with the Zhytomyrskyi Border Detachment of the State Border Guard Service (SBGS) of Ukraine. The aim of the project is to strengthen the Zhytomyrskyi border detachment located on the Ukrainian-Belorussian border. This detachment controls five border checkpoints, 416 km of green borders, perimeter and territory of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, and is in need of technical means and training for radiological and nuclear (RN) materials control.

A total of 1335 new items of detection, protection, decontamination, and dosimetry equipment are proposed to be procured and handed over to the Zhytomyrskyi border detachment within the scope of the project.
