🎣💙 Congratulations to Gunhild Blien – winner of the Safe Fisher Award!

Today, we had the pleasure of celebrating a fisher who truly puts safety first. Together with Redningsselskapet the Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue, we presented the Trygg Fisker (Safe Fisher) Award at Nor-Fishing! 🏆

For Gunhild, safety is about the small choices made every single day – good routines, the right equipment, and respect for the risks at sea. And when children, family members, or others join her, safety training starts from the very first moment.

As part of the award, Gunhild received a Jotron PLB – Personal Locator Beacon 🛟. It can be used to send a distress alert and help rescuers locate her if an emergency occurs.

We hope, of course, that she will never need to use it – but that she will always carry it with her. ❤️

Congratulations, Gunhild! Thank you for helping to build a stronger safety culture at sea. 🌊⚓

This summer our summer students, Sofie and Nuri, have been putting their skills to the test by working with ethical hacking on our ATC radio systems – testing security, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and helping us make our products even more secure.

But being a summer student at Jotron is about more than exciting projects. Sofie and Nuri highlight the flexibility, great colleagues, and welcoming work environment as some of the things they enjoy most.

Meet our summer interns, Marlene and Mikkel! ☀️

This summer, they're part of the ATC Software team, working on an exciting project to develop a new web client for DSC. Throughout the summer, they've been gaining hands-on experience with both backend and frontend development, exploring modern technologies, and contributing to a real development project.

"It's been an exciting and rewarding summer so far. We've learned something new every day, and the support from our colleagues has been amazing. Having other summer interns here has also made the experience both fun and social."

We're delighted to have Marlene and Mikkel on the team this summer and wish them continued success with the rest of their internship! 👏
