500 job applications in two years.
That's a number that should make every job seeker stop and think.
Most people assume that if they just keep applying, eventually someone will say yes.
But in Norway, more applications rarely solve the real problem.
Sometimes it's a CV that doesn't match Norwegian expectations.
Sometimes it's applying for the wrong roles.
Sometimes it's a lack of strategy or understanding of what employers are actually looking for.
I've spoken with many international professionals who have sent hundreds of applications without knowing why they weren't getting interviews.
Before sending another 100 applications, ask yourself:
"Do I actually know what's stopping me?"
That's exactly why I started Nordic Shift. Not to write CVs, but to help people understand where they're getting stuck and build a strategy that actually gives them a chance.
If you're in this situation, don't give up. Change the approach before you send the next application.
What do you think is the biggest reason people struggle to get interviews in Norway?
