500 job applications in two years.

That's a number that should make every job seeker stop and think.

Most people assume that if they just keep applying, eventually someone will say yes.

But in Norway, more applications rarely solve the real problem.

Sometimes it's a CV that doesn't match Norwegian expectations.
Sometimes it's applying for the wrong roles.
Sometimes it's a lack of strategy or understanding of what employers are actually looking for.

I've spoken with many international professionals who have sent hundreds of applications without knowing why they weren't getting interviews.

Before sending another 100 applications, ask yourself:

"Do I actually know what's stopping me?"

Stop applying for more jobs until you know why you're not getting interviews.

Most people assume the problem is a lack of experience. Often it isn't.

Employers only see what your CV, application and LinkedIn profile tell them. If they don't clearly show the value you bring, you'll keep getting rejected no matter how many applications you send.

Before sending another application, ask yourself:

• Am I applying for roles that match my background?
• Does my CV show achievements instead of just responsibilities?
• Is my experience presented the way Norwegian employers expect?
• Would a recruiter understand my value in 30 seconds?

A better strategy beats sending another 100 applications.

Career planning isn't just deciding where you want to go. It's making sure employers can see why you're the right person to get there.

A Generic CV Costs You Interviews
🛑 Stop.
Recruiters don't hire experience they can't see.

They spend around 30 seconds on your application. If it doesn't clearly communicate why you're worth interviewing, they'll move on.

"But I'm a hard worker."

So are hundreds of other applicants.

"I work well with others."

Every CV says that.

That's the problem.

You sound like everyone else.

You don't have an experience problem.

You have a communication problem.

You might be exactly the person an employer is looking for.
