The Vision, Dedication & Drive Behind Paramendo

A proud milestone for Paramendo Nepal. We are delighted to share that our Co-founding CEO, Rahul Bisunkhe, has been recognized among OnlineKhabar’s “40 Under 40 – 2083” for his contribution to social and environmental change in Nepal.

For the past five years, Paramendo Nepal has been working at the intersection of plastic waste management, recycling, community empowerment, and the circular economy, particularly in rural and high-altitude communities.
Our work has always been about more than collecting waste. It is about building locally driven systems where communities are empowered to understand, manage, recover, and create value from their waste.

The journey has involved experimentation, learning, partnerships, fieldwork, and the collective effort of our team, communities, mentors, supporters, and partners. This recognition gives greater visibility to that journey and strengthens our commitment to the work ahead.

At the heart of everything we do is one mission:
Empower rural communities to solve their waste problems through the circular economy.

Congratulations to Rahul on this well-deserved recognition, and to everyone who has been part of the Paramendo journey.
There is still much more to build, and we are only getting started.

NTU Students Explore Social Entrepreneurship and Circular Innovation with Paramendo Nepal

We were happy to welcome students from the National Taiwan University System (NTU) at Impact Hub Kathmandu for a learning session with Paramendo Nepal as part of the 2026 NTU Nepal – Ancient Heritage and Social Innovation Program.
The session focused on understanding how a social enterprise works in practice and how Paramendo Nepal is creating solutions around plastic waste management, circular economy, and sustainable product development.
Students learned about our journey — from collecting plastic waste, transforming discarded materials into products, and exploring ways to create sustainable value through innovation.

The session also included a hands-on design challenge where students stepped into the role of product designers. They created product concepts through sketches, developed MVP ideas, identified their target audience, and presented their solutions.

It was a wonderful exchange of ideas and perspectives, connecting young innovators with real-world social and environmental challenges.
A big thank you to NTU, Impact Hub Kathmandu, and everyone involved for making this learning experience possible. Special appreciation to our Paramendo Nepal team for facilitating the session and sharing our vision of building a more sustainable future.

Building solutions where waste becomes opportunity.

We are proud to contribute to the growing momentum of circular innovation in Nepal through initiatives like Plastic to Ghar (P2G). Over the past four years, this movement has demonstrated how plastic waste can be transformed into valuable resources while building sustainable, community-driven systems. By combining innovation, entrepreneurship, and local engagement, P2G is not only addressing waste challenges but also creating green jobs and empowering communities.

As an implementation partner, Paramendo Nepal continues to work closely with communities to promote practical circular economy solutions turning waste into opportunity and driving long-term impact. This journey highlights that sustainability is not just about managing waste, but about rethinking systems to create a more resilient and inclusive future.

We are proud to share a meaningful collaboration between Paramendo Nepal and , two organizations working from different regions of the Himalayas, united by a shared vision of sustainability and community impact.

While Paramendo Nepal has been actively engaging with communities around Ganesh Himal to promote waste management and circular economy practices, Tri Haut has been working closely with communities in the Mount Everest region, focusing on responsible outdoor practices and environmental stewardship.

With the collaboration, we are also introducing the Carry Everest keychain. This Keychain is more than a souvenir; it’s a story of transformation.
