Christian Andreas Doppler was a 19th-century Austrian mathematician and physicist who earned his place in history for discovering the famous Doppler Effect. In 1842, Doppler published a seminal paper titled "On the Colored Light of Double Stars and Certain Other Stars of the Heavens," in which he first introduced his revolutionary theory.
The theory states that when there is relative motion between a wave source (such as sound or light) and an observer, the frequency of the waves received by the observer changes. Initially, Doppler used this effect to explain the color variations of binary stars.
Today, it is crucial for measuring the movement speed of stars and galaxies relative to Earth (including the famous "redshift"). In addition to this, several other applications of Doppler's effect is being used in modern radar & navigations, meteorology and medical fields.
Thus, through his simple yet profound principle he has left an enduring legacy to which we would like to give a tribute through our company.
