A ta***ic dagger signifying the essence of dispelling the evil is particularly believed to be beneficial in eliminating the obstacles of Ta***ic Buddhism. The handle part represents “Method”, and the blade represents “Wisdom”.

The handle of the dagger embodies small pieces of Turquoise, Coral and Lapis Lazuli mounted on top of Vajrapani in front and back and Lion on the left and right side of the dagger. The lower part (blade) is made out of Crystal which is valued for its purity and ability to transmit light. The Tibetan mantra “Om Ah Hum” is engraved in the crystal which can be seen as a means of helping us focus our intentions and clarify or purify our body, speech, and mind.

The Phurpa is triple sided ritual dagger. The segments and the triple blade represent the three spirit worlds (i.e. Trailokya), while the Phurpa as a whole brings all three worlds together. The lower part of the blade is said to represent "Method" while the handle "Wisdom".

The material used in this phurpa is Iron which is known for its bold, brave and energizing qualities.

This Phurpa can also be used for acupuncture, massage therapy that focuses on stimulating various pressure points around the body as shown in the picture below. It helps in controlling the flow of energy around the body, as well as positively influences overall metabolism.

Human ignorance comes in many forms from jealousy to pride and it is the healing energy of Green Tara that brings awareness and relief from these negetive aspects.

According to a popular belief Tara, the mother of liberation, came into existence from tears of Avalokiteshvara, which fell to the ground and formed a lake. Out of its water rose up a lotus, which on opening revealed the goddess.(Source: Britannica)
