Constitutions
Whether you are starting up, reviewing or ensuring you are compliant to the new Charities Law - I can help you create or review a Constitution that works for the law and for you.

Missed the deadline?
If your incorporated society did not reregister by the 5th April and was removed from the register as a result, you can still apply to be restored to register.

That means:
- No legal status
- No ability to enter contracts as the society
- No limited liability protection for members

So, you can’t “just keep operating” as an incorporated society while waiting to be restored. You either:
- operate informally (with risk), or
- pause until restoration is approved, or
- close up shop.

More information on how to reregister after the deadline (now) go to https://is-register.companiesoffice.govt.nz/help-centre/restoring-an-incorporated-society-to-the-register/1908-act-societies/

Any further questions let me know and I'll see how I can help.

'The real solution is not cheaper petrol, it is needing less of it'.
Rethinking how we travel is important for now and our future.

The unfolding situation in the Middle East is devastating for people across the region and for their loved ones around the world. Our thoughts are with those facing the human cost of conflict. As the crisis escalates, another reality is becoming clear here at home: New Zealand is exposed.

Incorporated Societies Re-registration: Must be completed via the Companies Office by 5 April 2026 (Easter).

- From rugby clubs to dog trial clubs make sure you reregister otherwise your organisation will cease to exist.
- There are no extensions
- If you are a legal community organisation that is membership based and not a Charitable Trust you are probably an Incorporated Society.

To reregister you will need to:
= Prepare a constitution and review your society’s operational processes.
= Hold a general meeting to approve the new constitution and the decision to reregister.
= Apply to reregister and upload your constitution online

ABOUT ME
My 28+ year career has focused on working alongside communities in Aotearoa and the UK, creating award-winning and innovative initiatives in both countries.

My work is often described as a bridge between sectors and silos — translating, connecting and bringing people together to work in collaborative and innovative ways. Ideas are grounded by checking in with communities, then turned into reality.

I am the creator of The Wellbeing Game, River of Flowers, Places of Tranquillity, The Good Shop, Flourish Kia Puāwai and more, and am skilled at initiating, developing and managing successful community partnership projects. This work is supported by a large network across local, national and international sectors.

A lifelong learner, I hold a BSc in Ecology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health, and have completed academic study in Psychology and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

In the early stages of the Christchurch earthquake recovery I was seconded to help set up the Christchurch Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA) Wellbeing Team and was on the steering group for the fabulous All Right? wellbeing campaign based in Community & Public Health, CDHB.

At the heart of my work is a commitment to equity, wellbeing and collaboration, with communities to create lasting change.

- More than happy to travel to you in my van!

NGOs | Not for Profits | Third Sector | Community Organisations - whatever we are called we are usually running on the smell of an oily rag, overworked and just keeping our head above water.

Even though we love our work it is challenging, wouldn't you just like it to be easier? That's where I come in and take a load off you, find the best solution to a sticky problem, fill in and just fix things.

Knowing the sector is financially challenged, I make sure my work is affordable or can support you to secure funding.

So, take a deep breathe and just think how an extra person, who is highly skilled and experienced, could help you.
