This morning I said goodbye to my friend and talent Alyssum Li. You made art but you are art personified. I'm going to miss your light and your spirit, your expression and creativity. I'd never met someone like you before.

You are the exact kind of person I started this agency for. I miss your smile and the way showed me how it's completely ok to be your full self. That's what you taught me, not to hide who I am, but to embrace myself fully. You were patient with me and my endless projects and ideas.

I'm angry at a world that can let someone like you, so full of life feel something horrible as loneliness. Someone who is a light deserves to be surrounded by light and love in return.

I'm heartbroken that we didn't get to go for our coffee date. But I'm grateful to know you, grateful for the art we shared, our photoshoot sessions, our talks.

Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Still feels surreal to write that.

When the previous Avatar film wrapped up filming, NOIR had only just come into existence (2021). I remember watching the film and feeling the weight of being SO CLOSE to the moment; wishing the agency had begun just a little earlier, wondering if I’d missed the chance to ever have talent involved in one of the most monumental film franchises in the world!!

Now, a couple of years later; I'm proud to share that our NOIR talent in Pōneke stepped straight into Pandora and it's beyond words. It’s a reminder that nothing is missed; it’s built, earned and timed exactly as it should be.

To close out 2025 with NOIR being a part of a film of this scale is deeply humbling. Five years of belief, resilience and quiet work led here and this is only the beginning.
