The End.

Gosh that sounds so final doesn't it!

Over the last 2 years, I have loved helping small business owners with their onboarding plans for their new hires. Being able to work with a business owner not just on their onboarding plans but also delivering a half day team upskill session was a wonderful highlight.

But now it's time for me to focus back on Glow Coaching & Learning.

Getting off to the right start with a new contractor or employee is more important that you can imagine.

I'm working with a business owner at the moment who has recognised that they want to get the onboarding process sorted, so that as the business grows and expands they can use the plans that we are creating time and time again. Cool eh!

The real beauty lies in the foresight—investing in this process now pays off when the new contractor steps in. By alleviating the overwhelm associated with getting everything just right, you can fully immerse yourself in crafting an exceptional experience.

One thing that we know for sure, people are more open to learning and retaining new information when they feel welcomed, feel valued and feel seen.

Happy New Year!

I've been a bit quiet over the last few months. I had an amazing opportunity to contract to a company as a People Onboarding Experience Specialist for 10 weeks, which finished up just before Christmas! It was really interesting to be onboarded myself. What really hit home to me about this experience, is just how important it is to get your new hires off to a great start in your business!

The day before the first day of a new job. What did this look like for you?

Tomorrow I start a full time contract for a few months and I will be immersed in all things onboarding! Today, I'm working through a list of actions that I need to take to prepare for tomorrow.

✅ Relaxed start to the day
✅ Complete online recruitment onboarding
✅ Breakfast while watching a bit of the rugby
✅ Pack tomorrows snacks and breakfast
✅ Check bus route
❗️ Choose what to wear
❗️ Pack my bag, including brolly and jacket
❗️ Head into the city for a relaxed early dinner
❗️ Have an early night and set the alarms!

So, I'm more than half way there. Though I have welcomed hundreds of people in their first days in a new role, I haven't had a first day myself for over 22 years!

I'm looking forward to the experience 😄

Learning to do better, be better and think better is something that is really important to me. After all, if I stop learning, then what I offer may stagnate!

This past weekend, I felt challenged, confronted and inspired from attending a Leadership Event. It had it all! There's a lot to unpack and take action on. Exciting times ahead!
