🌟 Huge congratulations to our amazing colleague Pania Roberts (who keeps the wheels turning here at Maurea!) and her team, Faye Norman & Kate Haynes! ✨

What a weekend — taking out the Champ of Champ Triples title and securing their place at the National Champs in Pukekohe this August 🙌

A special milestone for the team too, with Kate celebrating her first centre title and Pania earning her Gold Star 💫

We’re incredibly proud of you Pania — best of luck for nationals. We know you’ll do us proud, and most importantly, have an amazing time together 💛

🩵 We’re incredibly grateful for the positive feedback from Sue Brewster, Executive Director of Auckland Medical Research Foundation, following a bespoke one-day workshop delivered by our CEO, Precious Clark LLB/BA.
It was a privilege to support their team as they deepen their understanding of te ao Māori and explore how to engage meaningfully and authentically.

💡 At Maurea, we specialise in training and consultancy that helps organisations build confidence in Māori cultural capability and strengthen the way they connect, partner, and lead.
Ngā mihi for the opportunity to be part of this important journey.

👩‍🔬The Auckland Medical Research Foundation has made a genuine commitment to embedding mātauranga Māori into its organisation. While they weren’t quite sure where to begin, it was a real privilege for Maurea to support them in starting that journey and opening up those important conversations.

🫶This commitment is especially meaningful given their role as kaitiaki of funds that support medical research across Auckland and Northland, and their willingness to explore how this can contribute to more equitable health outcomes for Māori.

🔥Precious deeply valued the experience with this group — the aroha in the room, the openness to learning, and the courage to be challenged stood out. Taking steps to embed mātauranga Māori into their mahi is no small undertaking, and we commend them for their leadership and intent.

🩷At Maurea, we genuinely look forward to opportunities like this — working alongside organisations who are ready to learn, reflect, and create meaningful change.

☎️Contact us today if your organisation would like to learn more about our training and consultation services.

Last week Precious had the honour of delivering the keynote address at the Philanthropy New Zealand Conference in her role as CEO of Maurea Consulting, speaking about how reciprocal relationships with iwi can create meaningful, mana-enhancing impact for our communities.

That kaupapa was reflected in action, NZ Police Commissioner, Richard Chambers and members of New Zealand Police were welcomed onto Ōrākei Marae to strengthen their relationship with Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei for the benefit of the wider community.

When meeting with the Commissioner, Precious was honoured to be there as an iwi representative — reinforcing the importance of partnership, trust, and working together for stronger communities.
