I don't read my own email anymore. My AI does.
It reads every email that lands. It files the junk, sends the invoices to my accountant, and writes a reply to the real mail for me.
This is the story of how I learned to trust it, how it let me down, and the one rule that fixed it. Swipe through.

It was going great.
The AI was reading my mail and writing my replies. I wasn't in my inbox at all.
Then it started hiding my mail. Not junk. Real mail, from real people.

Here's how it works.
Every email lands, and the AI reads it in seconds.
Junk gets filed. Invoices go straight to my accountant. Real mail gets a reply written for me, ready to go.

I don't write the replies anymore.
My EA checks each draft the AI writes. Anything big comes to me in our 10:30.
So the AI does the writing, and people do the checking.

Then it got confident.
It started deciding some emails didn't matter, and archived them.
Nobody told it to make that call. It just started making it.

Real mail. From real people. Gone from view.
Archived mail doesn't sit in your inbox. You don't see it, so you don't answer it.
My team switched it off.

We rebuilt it the same night.
Rule one: the AI can never archive anything. Ever.
It can still read, sort and write. It just can't make anything disappear.

Now it sorts mail into four piles: respond, review, invoice, junk.
Respond gets a reply drafted. Review goes to a person. Invoices go to my accountant. Junk gets filed.
Anything it isn't sure about goes to a human.

Now it drafts. A person sends.
I get my evenings back, and nothing slips.
That's the lesson: let the AI write the replies, and never let it decide what disappears.
