🛡️ WAKCO SECURITY - WE’RE BUILDING THE CREW

Festival season is coming. New Year’s is coming. And WakCo is getting busy. 🔥

We’ve got upcoming work across Auckland and beyond, with more events being added as the season builds.

We’re looking for good people to join the WakCo team for:

🎪 Festivals & outdoor events
🎶 Live music & entertainment
🪩 Club & venue security
🚪 Door & entry operations
🎟️ Guest lists, ticketing & event access
🛡️ Event security & crowd support
🌙 New Year’s & summer festival work
🚐 Event operations & other opportunities

We’re not just looking for someone who can stand at a door.

We want reliable, switched-on people who can work with patrons, organisers, artists and the rest of the crew while helping create a safe event.

Already have your COA? Brilliant.

Working toward one, have strong event experience, or think you’d be a good fit? Apply anyway.

There’s more work to follow as the summer season ramps up, and we’re building the team now.

Hope to see you !

ON TODAY: MEANING 1 — Performance, Sound, Painting. What does it mean to make meaning? And what happens when the whole thing starts to fall apart?

On Friday 14 August, MEANING 1 takes over The Button Factory with a live performance artwork by Sandy Loam: a vicious disturbance of clay, set against a harrowing composition curated by gOMME hOMME.

Alongside the live work is a group exhibition featuring some of the most exciting emerging artists in Aotearoa, with a night of hyperpop, ambience, avant-trance, freaky techno and everything in between.

Nothing has to make sense. Everything is meaningful because we say so.
