By the time a family calls me about a Power of Attorney, it's often already too late.

Once capacity is gone, you can't just set one up - the person you'd naturally choose has to apply to the court instead. Expensive. Slow. At the worst possible time.

Don't wait for the moment that forces it.

DM me if you want to get this sorted for you or someone you love. 🤍

When a separation begins, the instinct is to do something, anything, to feel less powerless. And in that rush, people often make the decisions that are hardest to undo.

The steadier move is usually the opposite. Not big, dramatic action, but a few small, protective things done early, while you let the bigger picture come into focus. The pause isn't you falling behind. It's you giving yourself the ground to make good choices from.

You don't need the whole path mapped out to take the first careful step. You just need to start with what's actually in your hands today.

Save this if you're near the start of it. And when you'd like to talk any of it through, you know where I am.

You don't need a crisis to think about this. You just need a plan.

An Enduring Power of Attorney means that if something happens and you can't make decisions for yourself - health or financial - someone you trust is legally able to step in for you.

Not a stranger. Not whoever shouts loudest. The person you chose, while you were still the one choosing.

It's a quiet kind of protection. One most people put off until it's harder to organise.

If this has been sitting on your to-do list, this is your nudge. DM me if you want to know where to start.

This time of year is a good moment to pause and check in on your legacy planning.

Is your trust compliant? Are your Will and EPOA actually up to date - do they still reflect your life as it is now, not as it was five years ago?

And if you don't have these in place at all, before Christmas and the New Year is a good time to make it a priority.

DM me if you'd like a hand getting it sorted. 🤍

Most people don't put off their legacy planning because they don't care. They put it off because it feels big, and a little bit morbid, and never quite urgent.

So here's a gentler way in. Before any lawyer, any documents, any decisions, there are really just three quiet questions to sit with. Who you'd trust. What matters to you. And how you'd want it all handled.

That's it. That's the hard part, and it's not paperwork, it's just honest thinking about the people you love.

Once you've done that, the rest is far simpler than you'd expect. And when you're ready to turn it into something that holds, that's what I'm here for.

Have a think.

I want my clients to feel hopeful about what's ahead.

I want them to see the peace that is waiting for them after this difficult time.

That peace is real, even if it doesn't feel that way right now.

I know that peace myself. I feel lucky to have it with my son. Being his mum is truly my favourite part of life.

I get him ready for school in the morning, drop him off, and when I can, pick him up at the end of the day.

Those small, everyday moments mean so much.

They are also part of why I do this work and why I care about it so deeply.

If you are in the middle of a difficult season right now and it is hard to picture the other side, please know it is real. You do not have to get there by yourself.

Send me a message when you are ready.

A client's experience, in their own words.

When you're facing a hard decision, it's easy to get pulled in every direction at once. Everything feels urgent, and it's difficult to tell what actually deserves your attention.

A lot of the work is helping you quiet that noise and look at what genuinely matters, so the choices you make are ones you can stand behind later.

You don't have to work through it on your own.

If something's weighing on you and you want to think it through, my DMs are open.

When people first come to me, they often apologise for being emotional.

They think they've come for legal help, and the feelings are somehow getting in the way of it. As if the fear, the grief, the anger are a distraction from the "real" work of sorting out a separation.

They're not a distraction. They're part of it. You can't make clear decisions about your future while pretending you're fine, and you shouldn't have to try. The emotional weight and the legal questions are tangled together, because that's how separation actually works.

So no, you don't need to hold it together to talk to me. You just need to start.

If you're somewhere in this, reach out for a confidential conversation. Details in bio.

The hardest part of a parenting agreement usually isn't the big stuff.

Most parents can agree on the broad shape of things. Where conflict tends to creep in is the small, specific moments no one thought to write down. A sick day. A birthday that falls on the wrong week. A changeover that felt fine in theory and awkward in practice.

None of it feels urgent while things are calm. It only surfaces later, often at the exact moment everyone's emotions are already running high.

That's the quiet value of getting it right early. Not because you expect the worst, but because clarity now spares your children from being caught in the middle of it later.

If you're working through yours and want to be sure it holds up, send me a message.

AI is everywhere now right now.

But some of what you're facing can't be handed to a screen.

A separation, a decision about your children, or your future.

The fear that keeps you up at night, these aren't just legal problems to be solved.

They're human ones. And they deserve to be met by a real person who can sit with the weight of them alongside you.

That's the part of this work I care about most.

Not just knowing the law, but understanding the person in front of me, what they're frightened of, what they're trying to hold on to, what a good outcome would actually feel like for them.

A chatbot can give you information. It can't do that.

When you're ready to talk to someone who will, send me a message.
