Clean, sophisticated, and low maintenance 🌱

This project focused on embracing the rich character of the charming pre-1920s villa, while introducing modern materials, including matting and mulch, along with carefully selected plant species to create a practical, timeless, and easy-care landscape.

We look forward to sharing updates as the plants continue to establish and our vision comes to life ✨

Puketitiri Project – From Concept to Creation ✨🌿


Work has officially commenced! 🌱

The first stage of this transformation has involved site clearance, contouring, and sculpting — with the focus on creating a space that is simple, practical, and functional.

In short, the goal is to open up an area that was previously cluttered and enclosed, creating better flow and connection throughout the property. Our vision includes adding a secondary entrance, returning a large portion back to lawn, and “thickening” the existing hedge to enhance privacy and help reduce surrounding traffic noise. 🌿

We look forward to sharing further updates, images, and progress as this project continues to take shape.

A huge thank you again to the Smith family for trusting Grand Designs Landscaping to bring this vision to life. We truly appreciate the opportunity and look forward to working together throughout the next stages of this transformation 👏✨

A previously forgotten section of garden has now been transformed into a purposeful and practical outdoor space 🌿
Featuring a large swim spa, carefully landscaped to embrace its immediate surroundings, maximise the incredible views, and create a seamless extension of the property ✨🌊

This project included:
• Site clearance & hardscaping 🚜
• Concrete works & supporting services 🏗️
• Swim spa installation 💦
• Decking, retaining & privacy screens 🪵
• Raised garden beds 🌱
• Rockwork, matting & mulch 🪨🍂

To all our customers and followers — we hope you’re safe and well. Hawke’s Bay is forecast to experience gale-force winds over the next 24 hours, with the potential for:

🌬️ Damaging wind gusts that may bring down trees and large branches
⚡ Power outages and possible road closures
🌿 Fallen debris causing hazards around homes and properties
🌧️ Periods of heavy rain, increasing the risk of slips and flooding in some areas

Our team is on standby and ready to respond quickly to any storm-related issues — from urgent tree removals to clearing fallen branches and making properties safe.
