Awesome auctions for a heart wrenching cause – closing tonight 8:30pm. Some dear friends of mine lost their baby at birth and they, together with some other families in the same situation, are raising funds for a Cuddle Cot each for Auckland and Waitemata DHBs (currently there are none). A Cuddle Cot is a moses basket with a cooling device which keep’s baby cool after he/she has passed, to give families more time with their precious child - time to have "a cuddle to remember". The days with these babies are so very few, so a Cuddle Cot is the most precious gift available for these families - anything for a bit more time, to create memories that will need to last a lifetime. My friend Claire is raising funds for 2 Cuddle Cots for Auckland and Waitemata DHB. Please help us raise funds for these special pieces of equipment, that are currently not funded in NZ. There are very few throughout the country, and the ones that are here, have all been fundraised for by families like mine, and Claire's.

Every bid helps, every comment and share of the album, or share of an item you think your friends might like. The more people that know about the auction, the more people that might bid and help us raise funds. KJdesigns held a similar fundraiser back in February and raised over $2000 to go towards Rotorua and Waikato Cuddle Cots (which are now in use). Let's see if we can raise more this time! We have 160 items up for grabs!

Thanks Fionna Hill for setting up this wonderful opportunity for the children of Grey Lynn School at this lovely plot in the grounds of St Columbia Church. Fionna meets with the children each week and does all sorts of fun gardening activities with them - the children learn a lot and can't get enough of it!
